Just days after the tragic passing of beloved actor Ricky Davao, new emotional details have emerged regarding his last will and testament, which has brought both surprise and deep emotion to those closest to him — especially his former partner, Jackie Lou Blanco, who was reportedly moved to tears upon reading his final words.

A Farewell from the Heart

According to close family sources, Ricky Davao left behind a deeply personal and heartfelt will, written with clarity and love. Though details remain partially confidential out of respect for his family’s privacy, insiders revealed that the will reflected Ricky’s characteristic humility and thoughtfulness, with carefully written instructions on how he wished his legacy to be handled.

What struck many the most was the inclusion of a private handwritten letter addressed to Jackie Lou Blanco, his former wife and co-parent, with whom he shared many years of marriage and friendship even after their separation.

A Letter That Broke Hearts

The letter, described by one source as “a quiet goodbye from a man who never stopped caring,” reportedly thanked Jackie Lou for her unwavering support throughout their lives, especially during his silent battle with illness.

“You were my first real love, and the mother of our greatest blessings,” Ricky allegedly wrote in the letter.
“I may be leaving, but a part of me will always be with you and our children.”

Upon reading the letter during the private family gathering where the will was opened, Jackie Lou reportedly broke down in tears, unable to speak for several minutes as she held the letter tightly against her chest.

Where His Legacy Will Go

Sources close to the family say that Ricky’s will includes a detailed distribution of his assets, not only to his children, but also a portion designated for young, struggling artists and theater workers — a cause he supported even when away from the spotlight.

His close friends from the theater community were not surprised by this gesture, noting Ricky’s quiet generosity and deep love for the arts. One colleague shared:

“Ricky always said his success meant nothing if he couldn’t help others rise. That was who he was to the core.”

The Legacy of a Gentle Giant

Though Ricky Davao’s passing has left an irreplaceable void in Philippine entertainment, his last will and testament showed that his love for his family, his former partner, and his commitment to the next generation of artists remained strong until his very last breath.

As tributes continue to pour in, the nation is reminded not only of his brilliance on screen — but also of the humility, dignity, and depth of character that made him a true icon.

VETERAN actress Jackie Lou Blanco has explained the current state of her relationship with her ex-husband Ricky Davao.

If before, the actress would always answer “we are a work in progress” when asked how her relationship with the actor-director was going, now it’s different.

In a previous episode of the weekly talk show “Sarap Di Ba?”, host Carmina Villarroel asked if there were any times when Jackie Lou and Ricky didn’t get along.

The actress replied, “I can’t say friends. Civil.” Yes, it was more civil. We just had to. It wasn’t comfortable during those times.

“There are occasions where birthdays will be separate. My kid will have a birthday and they’ll have a day with their dad,” she said.

But it has changed now, “That’s why I say it’s much better now because we can do that already. We can travel as a family. I can’t say we’re chummy-chummy but it’s so much better than how it was before.”

The veteran actress explained, “Through time. And it seems like you’ll get to a point where it’s tiring. I could see that my children were so happy. When they’re happy, you’re happy too.”

In an interview then, Jackie Lou was asked if there was a possibility that she and Ricky would get back together, “Actually, to be honest with you, if it’s God’s will, I would like that, and my kids know this. And I think he knows this too.

“If it’s God’s will, I’d like to be able to get the chance. After all, were still married, legally, we’re still married. And I feel that perhaps there’s a reason why it’s still like that. But if it’s God’s will, always. If God wants it, it’s not okay,” the actress explained.

When she and Ricky worked together again last year on the series “I Can See You: AlterNate” starring Dingdong Dantes, their children were very happy.

“It’s a very nice feeling that people want to see us together. Maybe it’s God’s time that we worked together, we realize that if something bad happens, you can put it aside, right? So, let’s see.

“Of course I told the Lord, ‘If that’s your plan, don’t let us be 80
(years old), when we look like we could still…walk. Ha-hahaha!” said Jackie Lou.

“I don’t know, maybe God put that in my heart…and that’s also one of the reasons why I haven’t been with anyone in a long time. First of all, I don’t have a want in my heart. I guess if it’s part of my prayer how will the Lord grant my prayer if I’m with someone, right? So, let’s see. Ha-hahaha!”
