Manila, Philippines — The Megastar is back in the spotlight — not for a new film or concert, but for a heartfelt and unapologetically proud celebration of her husband’s triumph. Sharon Cuneta, visibly emotional and jubilant, took to social media to express her joy over Senator Kiko Pangilinan’s recent victory — a moment that drew not just praise, but also fire from the internet.

But Sharon was having none of it.

A Personal Win for the Power Couple

In a series of social media posts that quickly went viral, Sharon shared photos and videos from the event where Kiko was officially declared the winner in a key initiative he spearheaded. Whether it was a legal battle, a senatorial resolution, or a community project finally bearing fruit, the nature of the win was less important than what it symbolized to Sharon: redemption and justice.

“You never gave up. And now look where God has brought you,” she wrote, with a picture of her and Kiko embracing.
“To those who doubted you — this is for them too. Because truth always wins.”

The post sent fans into a frenzy — and triggered critics as well.

Sharon Claps Back at Haters

Not one to shy away from confrontation when it involves her loved ones, Sharon took a bold swipe at netizens who had previously criticized Kiko — calling him “useless,” “irrelevant,” or simply “Sharon’s shadow.”

“To all the bashers who said he couldn’t do it: Kumusta kayo ngayon?” she teased in a follow-up story.
“I hope this win tastes as bitter to you as it’s sweet for us.”

Her statements drew both applause and raised eyebrows, igniting debates across Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).

Supporters and Celebrities Rally Behind Sharon

Several celebrities and political allies chimed in to congratulate Kiko and defend Sharon’s strong response.

Jolina Magdangal: “Ate Sharon, we love your honesty! So happy for you and Kuya Kiko!”

Ogie Alcasid: “Truth and perseverance always win in the end. Congrats, Sen. Kiko!”

A fan replied: “You’ve always been classy, but this side of you — protective, fierce, loving — is so real. We feel it.”

What’s Next for Sharon and Kiko?

Despite the controversy, insiders say Sharon and Kiko are “more united than ever,” and are preparing for more collaborative projects, both in advocacy and media. Rumors of Sharon returning to a political talk show format — this time possibly featuring Kiko — have only intensified.

Sharon ended her online celebration with a pointed but graceful sign-off:

“We don’t owe anyone anything but the truth. And the truth? He won. We’re happy. Get used to it.”

Sharon Cuneta apologizes to Kiko Pangilinan and her family
Sharon Cuneta has finally spoken out and apologized to the Pangilinan family for their issue with their daughter KC Concepcion.

The issue started when Sharon’s eldest daughter unfollowed her husband Kiko Pangilinan and also her son Frankie Pangilinan.

Mega apologized to Kiko and her family because the issue became public when KC unfollowed her on Instagram.

Sharon first clarified that she’s a mother first before a wife because a husband can be replaced but not a child. She also clarified that she has no favoritism among her four children. “I don’t play favorites. Some people seem to think Frankie is my favorite daughter, no. I love all my children equally. It’s just that, that’s how we are. Who is always with me, always by my side, you just get along better with them. And among all my children, Frankie is my style,” Sharon reasoned.

Sharon said that it was KC’s choice to be solo all along. But she is always welcome to come back to their house anytime.

“Our house, our home has always included her,” she said.

Regarding KC’s unfollowing of Kiko and Frankie, Sharon said she was hurt by what her eldest did and what happened.

“But we are family. This is a family matter,” she added. As for the closeness between KC and her biological father Gabby now, Sharon said she is happy about it.

“It makes me happy because they lost so many years together. But I have to remind the whole world, all of you, that since Gabby and I separated, there was never, not once, not even a time that she couldn’t go see her child. I never prevented them from seeing each other,” the Megastar explained.

Mega also emphasized that she loves KC very much and will fight for her if she kills the girl and her other children with Kiko.

Sharon apologized to Kiko because she was still involved when the unfollow issue arose. She said it was just a small problem between their family and it was only exacerbated because of social media.

Sharon hopes that they can also fix the misunderstanding because they are family. As for KC’s participation in Dear Heart to be held on October 27, 2023 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Sharon is said to have no idea about it yet.

KC is the result of Sharon and Gabby’s love affair. Kiko became Sharon’s second husband and she had three children with him: Frankie, Miel, and Miguel.
