Vice Ganda’s Reaction After Finding Out Ion Perez Has a Child with Another Woman

Ion Perez is currently making headlines after it was revealed to the public that he has a son from a previous relationship, even before he and Vice Ganda became a couple. As many may recall, Ion—whose real name is Benigno Perez—first rose to fame in 2018 as “Kuya Escort” on the “Q&A” segment of It’s Showtime.

Eventually, a romantic relationship developed between him and Vice Ganda. Despite the criticism and opposition from many, the two proved the sincerity of their love for each other. After a few years, Vice and Ion got married in a wedding ceremony held in Las Vegas, USA, in October 2021.

Following their wedding, rumors surfaced that they were planning to have a child through surrogacy. However, as of now, this has yet to happen. But it seems that they may no longer need to pursue having a child, as Ion already has one. This revelation came after Vice Ganda greeted Ion with “Happy Father’s Day.”

According to Vice, “Happy Father’s Day to all dads—and to all moms who also act as fathers: Direk John Mal, Direk Lauren Jogi, Dumbo, and my husband, Ion.” Many were surprised to learn that Ion had a child. However, this wasn’t actually the first time the public heard about it—Ion had previously revealed this in an interview back in 2018.

Ion stated that his son was 3 years old at the time, which would make him around 10 years old now. The child reportedly lives with Ion’s former partner. However, Ion clarified that even though he and his son are not living together, he has not abandoned him and continues to support the child financially.

He also mentioned that he occasionally spends time with his son whenever he is allowed to take him. He explained that this happened due to his youthful impulsiveness in the past. In that interview, Ion said, “Even though we don’t often see each other, I’ve never neglected my child.”
