Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo has recently found herself dragged into controversy following a revelation made by Kapuso actor Alden Richards. In a recent interview on 24 Oras, Alden candidly admitted that he experienced depression last year. According to him, 2024 was the lowest point in his life, a time when he prioritized others over himself.

“I always put others first before myself. But last year, I think that was my breaking point. Because sometimes, we go out of our way to help other people—give and give. And when I looked back at my bucket, there was nothing left for me. That broke me into a million pieces,” Alden shared.

Although the actor did not mention any names in his statements, many netizens—and some of his fans—speculated that Kathryn might have something to do with what Alden went through emotionally.
