A Mother’s Last Wish for Her Three Little Angels, But She Didn’t Fulfill It — When You Read This, Your Heart Will Be BrokenA tragedy that struck Barangay San Vicente, Sta. Maria, Bulacan touched the hearts of many on May 7, 2025. A mother, known only as “Mommy,” ended her fight for life along with her three young children in a fire that was allegedly set intentionally. The details of this incident have caused great sadness and questions as to what really happened behind the tragedy.
According to reports from neighbors, before the tragedy occurred, the couple had a serious dispute. In the sad incident, it is believed that the eldest child stated that their mother poured gasoline on him and his siblings and set them on fire. The youngest child, just one year old, died instantly, while the other two children, aged 3 and 6, were rushed to the hospital but also did not survive. The mother was taken to the East Avenue Medical Center but passed away eight days after the incident.
Behind this tragic event is a mother who is carrying the weight of the world—a mother who daily faces deprivation, fatigue, and hopelessness. Despite the challenges, she left behind one last wish: to be with and protect her children. But unfortunately, she was unable to fulfill it.
The monthly allowance of P2,500 for her children is not enough to meet the family’s needs, from food, medicine, to other expenses. While the husband, a police officer assigned to the PNP Maritime Group, is often away from home, the mother is the children’s only support. She carried them everywhere—to the market, to the hospital, and everywhere—because she had no one else to leave behind. Her heart was full of love and sacrifice, but it seemed to be filled with sadness and exhaustion. In her last moments, the mother tried to protect her children from the greater pain and sorrow that could test them on earth. But her decision, no matter how painful it was, left a deep wound in the hearts of everyone who witnessed and heard their story. This tragedy is a reminder of the importance of mental health awareness and support for people going through severe trials. It is only right that we be understanding, not judgmental, and provide help to those in need. Not all battles are visible on the outside; there are also wounded hearts hiding behind a smile.
Despite the grief, may the mother and her little angels find the peace they have long sought. Their story is a sad but powerful reminder that each of us has a responsibility to be a light and a beacon of hope for those who have lost hope.
Farewell, little angels. May you find the eternal peace that you never found here on earth.
