Herlene Budol Speaks Up About Her Viral ‘Did You See It?’ Video

Actress and beauty queen Herlene Budol has spoken out about a viral video that recently circulated online, where some netizens suspected that she wasn’t wearing any underwear during a live feed.

“Why make such a big deal about panties? Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with this panty issue,” Herlene said in a Facebook post.

She went on to say that she often walks the runway in swimsuits.

“My swimsuits are almost cut all the way up to heaven, and now people are freaking out over underwear?” she added.

Herlene also commented, “Well, it’s part of human error, and always remember that mistakes are part of being human.”

The controversy stemmed from a recent live stream where Herlene was seen having dinner.

In the video, she stood up—and appeared to forget that she was only wearing underwear at the time.

“Did you see anything?” Herlene asked nervously to someone beside her in the video.

However, some netizens speculated that Herlene wasn’t wearing anything on her lower half.

Last year, Herlene was also involved in a separate controversy after her message exchanges with her Magandang Dilag co-star Rob Gomez surfaced online.

“Those message exchanges were originally just lines from our script to help us memorize—but they were mixed with jokes and one-liners like the word ‘kain’ (‘eat’), and suddenly people judged me right away,” she explained at the time.

Rob was also involved in another messaging controversy with fellow co-star Bianca Manalo, where the contents of the messages were allegedly edited before being posted online.

Rob claimed that someone tampered with his phone and posted the messages without his knowledge.

Earlier this year, Herlene admitted that she has been affected by the constant barrage of negative comments she receives.

“I feel so battered, so tortured by bashers. But like I’ve said repeatedly—you can’t please everyone, and not everyone will understand you. So just choose to hold on to the people who are always there for you,” she said.
