The chapel fell completely silent — not because it was expected, but because it had to.

Last night, at the final night of Mommy Caring’s burol, all eyes were on ICE Seguerra.
But when they stood up to deliver the eulogy, no one expected what would come next.

Tears.
Shaking hands.
And a moment of honesty that stunned everyone in the room.

🕯️ Not a Performance — A Plea

ICE Seguerra, known for their music, composure, and calm spirit, walked slowly to the microphone near the casket of the woman they called “Mommy Caring” — not just on set, but in real life.

With a trembling voice, ICE began:

“I never got to say this when you were alive, Mommy… but I need to say it now. And I hope you hear me.”

Those words hit like thunder in the quiet room.
Some gasped. Others cried.

What followed was less of a tribute, more of a confession.

💔 The Years of Silence

“There were years I stayed away. Not because I didn’t love you… but because I was ashamed.”
“You believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. You protected me even when I doubted your reasons. And I pushed you away.”

ICE’s words peeled back decades of silence, revealing an unseen side of their relationship with Mommy Caring — one that included disagreements, distance, and deep-rooted regret.

Some in the audience — including Sylvia Sanchez and Vic Sotto — were seen openly crying as ICE spoke.

“You were the only one who called me anak even when I didn’t want to be anyone’s child. You reminded me that family isn’t always blood — it’s presence.”

🎵 A Song That Never Got Sung

Many were expecting ICE to sing at the final night. After all, it had been tradition.

But ICE didn’t sing.

Instead, they said:

“There’s a song I was supposed to sing for her. I practiced it. I cried over it. But when I tried to perform it just now… I couldn’t.”
“Maybe some songs aren’t meant to be sung. Maybe they’re meant to be lived… and grieved.”

The crowd fell into complete silence. The casket seemed to glow softly under the chapel lights, as if Mommy Caring herself was listening.

👥 Dabarkads in Tears: A Family Fractured, Then Reunited

The rest of the Dabarkads family sat close together — some holding hands, some wiping their eyes.

Vic Sotto reportedly whispered, “That was the bravest thing I’ve ever seen ICE do.”
Sylvia Sanchez later shared that ICE’s words “felt like they came from all of us.”

The eulogy became the emotional climax of a night already heavy with memories, grief, and reconnection. Former members and friends from early Eat Bulaga! days were seen hugging in corners, apologizing, laughing, remembering — as if Mommy Caring’s final gift was healing the wounds she couldn’t touch in life.

🌄 A Hill, A Goodbye, A Promise

As the night drew to a close, ICE Seguerra was one of the last to leave the chapel.

They stayed beside Mommy Caring’s casket long after others had gone, placing a folded piece of paper next to her hands.

No one knows what it said.
No one asked.

But when ICE finally stood, they whispered:

“I’m going to make it right, Mommy. Starting now.”

And then walked out — no song, no performance — just the quiet dignity of someone finally speaking their truth.

🌹 Final Words

ICE Seguerra’s eulogy wasn’t just a goodbye.
It was a reckoning.
A closure.
And for many, the most powerful moment of the entire wake.

Mommy Caring may be gone, but in that moment — through ICE’s tears, voice, and silence — she was more alive than ever.

Because that’s what real love sounds like.

Ice Seguerra is mourning the loss of his mother, Mommy Caridad “Caring” Yamson-Seguerra, who died this morning, June 27.

The actor-singer took to Facebook to express his grief as he honored the memory of his late mother, whom he described as “strong, kind, and funny.”

“This morning, at 7:54 AM, our family said goodbye to the most amazing woman I’ve ever known: my mom, Mommy Caring,” he wrote alongside a picture of himself with his mother, wife Liza Diño, and brother Juan Carlos Miguel. “Mama lived a full and beautiful life. “Mula bata pa ako hanggang ngayon, she never left my side. Every show, every gig, every milestone, she was there. She was always present. Papadalhan ako ng mga paborito kong pagkain, masahe kapag masakit ang ulo ko. She made sure she was there kahit may sarili na kaming mga buhay. Walang palya,” continued the singer.

Ice stated that losing his mother feels like “losing a part of himself” as he promised her that he would remain strong amid hardships.

“She supported me not just as an artist, but as her child. She was my fiercest protector. She accepted me and embraced me for who I am, especially who I am not. She was my first teacher, my constant cheerleader, my rock. Losing her this morning feels like losing a part of myself,” he expressed

“Pero promise ko sa iyo diba, mama, brave ako. Ikaw ang nagturo sa akin kung paano maging matatag sa harap ng mga sakit na binabato ng buhay. I won’t fail you. Promise ko ‘yon,” he added.

The “Pagdating ng Panahon” singer said that they will share the wake details with the public later today as he asked to be given time to mourn first.

“Right now, I just want to ask for your prayers and your love for our family, and most of all, for my beloved mama. Salamat po sa lahat ng nakasama namin sa buhay niya. Salamat sa lahat ng nagmahal at tinuturing din siyang nanay. You all made her very happy. We’ll miss you forever, Mama. Pero magkasama na kayo ni Daddy. And that gives me comfort. Mahal na mahal kita, mama ko,” he concluded his post.

Ice recently made headlines after he gifted his wife Liza with a surprise drag performance at her recent birthday celebration.
