Actress Claudine Barretto is once again facing an issue involving her brother, Mito Barretto, who is allegedly threatening to expose that she became addicted to drugs. This was one of the revelations Claudine made during her interview on the vlog of Direk Chapsman and Sala and Jobert Sucaldito.

Claudine was asked where her brother’s anger was coming from and why he was threatening her. The actress responded:

“I didn’t want to bring this out anymore, but when your life is being threatened, or your reputation is being threatened… and did you see the messages on Direk Chaps and Job’s vlog?
Lately, I’ve been receiving anonymous calls. That’s why the NBI was here earlier. I receive calls but no number appears, and you can’t call them back.
I’ve already sent a cease and desist because I don’t want trouble. But I’m scared for my life and for my children’s lives.
Whether these threats are real or not, I just want to make sure my children and I are safe.
I’m not saying this person is behind everything, but the timing makes it hard to ignore.
This was supposed to be kept within the family. But I’ve reached the point where I won’t let anyone talk to me like this anymore. I won’t allow anyone to disrespect me.”

Claudine explained at length. She also added:

“That’s where the sadness comes from. I find it very tragic. It’s not just sadness anymore—this is coming from a sibling. Where did this come from, and how did it even start?”

Is the Barretto family saga ever going to end?

Claudine emphasized that the reason she spoke up and agreed to the interview was because she had begun receiving threats. She clarified:

“I’m the only one sending my kids to school. I single-handedly support them.”

The current conflict apparently began when Claudine’s brother Mito claimed that she had spoken to Nanay Cristy Fermin—who runs a showbiz vlog—along with Christopher and Minit. Claudine insisted:

“I spoke to Nanay Cristy because Kuya John and I were having a meeting for a project.”

According to Jobert, Mito’s anger stemmed from something Cristy Fermin said on her show. Allegedly, a “reliable source” told her that Marjorie Barretto became partially deaf because Dennis Padilla punched or hit her back when they were still together.

Later, someone spoke with Cristy and told her that Dennis had a reason for what he did—suggesting there was a motive. Apparently, Claudine was suspected of being the one who reported this to Cristy Fermin. Claudine reacted:

“Here we go again. Is there no one else to blame? And now there are threats?
This isn’t a joke anymore—to say you’ll destroy me in front of Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz?
Go ahead. What bad thing hasn’t already been said about me?”

With a furrowed brow, Claudine added:

“This is too much.
You keep bringing up my past—I don’t live there anymore. And I will not allow anyone to speak to me like that.”
