Nora Aunor’s Former Husband Reveals Their Secret Child to the Public

Three men had come into the life and captured the heart of the Philippines’ beloved superstar, Nora Aunor. These were Tirso Cruz III, Richard Merk, and Christopher de Leon. All three were deeply loved by Nora in different stages of her life.

These men, who were once part of her life, reportedly visited her wake. It was there that Richard Merk, one of Nora’s former partners, gave a statement. In an interview, the singer revealed that he and the superstar were actually married in the U.S. on July 7, 1988, in Las Vegas. He claimed their marriage was recorded in the marriage inquiry system of Clark County, Nevada.

However, they never returned to Las Vegas to file for divorce. According to Richard, they lived together for three years. During this time, he served as Nora Aunor’s vocal coach and musical arranger. Richard shared that he had many fond memories of their time together, including Nora’s international concert tours.

There were also rumors at the time that Nora and Richard had a child while living together. Richard has now confirmed this, admitting that the rumor about their child is true. He said that the child was left in his care and grew up with him, surrounded by love from his mother, Nora Aunor.

Unfortunately, fate was cruel to them—Richard was not accepted by Nora’s family, which led to their eventual breakup. As a result, they never introduced their child to the public. Richard did not explain why they kept their child a secret.
