Lotlot de Leon Reveals Mom Nora Aunor’s Final Wishes and Last Text Message
Her goal is to make her mom’s final days free from conflict.

Lotlot de Leon’s greatest wish is to give her mother, Superstar Nora Aunor, “the best” goodbye. In her words:
“It’s the least we can do for her.”
For Lotlot, whatever problems their family had gone through should no longer be brought up as they mourn their mother’s passing.
What matters most is that everything has already been resolved.
Lotlot was interviewed by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on the third night of Nora’s wake at Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City, on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
“You know, to all of you, she’s the Superstar. But to us, she’s our mommy—we are her family.
In every family, it’s normal to go through difficult times. But whatever issues we had, they were always resolved.
It’s no longer important and shouldn’t be talked about now.
What’s important is that she receives the honor that she truly deserves.”
Nora Aunor’s Constant Reminder
What was her mom’s frequent advice before she passed?
Lotlot replied:
“Always be respectful.
No matter who you’re talking to, be polite—just like her.
She didn’t care about a person’s status in life. For her, everyone was equal.
Whether you’re rich, well-off, or struggling, she gave the same respect to everyone.”
Lotlot shared that she and her mother maintained open communication. Her mother’s last text message was about her grandchildren.
“Mommy always reminded us how much she loved us, and we did the same for her.
She knew that with just one call, we’d be there for her—she knew that.
Her last message to me said, ‘Don’t neglect the kids. Focus on the kids.’”
Lotlot de Leon on Dad Christopher de Leon

Her father, Christopher de Leon, visited on the second night of Nora’s wake.
His arrival quickly spread and trended on social media.
Lotlot shared:
“Of course, I couldn’t stop our dad from coming—he is our father.
He was once married to our mom, so naturally, he would be here.
Dad has always been supportive of everything, so of course, he’d show up.
And of course, he also wanted to see Mommy.”
Lotlot de Leon’s Wish for Her Mom’s Final Days

Her former mother-in-law, Pilita Corrales, passed away on April 12, 2025.
Her mother, Nora Aunor, followed just four days later on April 16, Holy Wednesday.
Matet described Lotlot as being completely drained of energy. But Lotlot did not let this affect her—she had a goal.
“For my siblings, and especially because of how much I love Mommy, we wanted to make sure this farewell was beautiful and orderly—for her.
It’s the least we can do: to give her the best.
I couldn’t do this alone—we’re all helping each other as siblings to get through this properly.
For Mommy, we really want to give her the best.”
Nora Aunor’s casket was draped with the Philippine flag, and she was given a military salute by soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in recognition of her status as a National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts.
Lotlot said:
“She deserves it. She dedicated her life and her craft to the public.
That’s why she gave so much love to everyone. She always told me, ‘Anak, if not for them, I wouldn’t be here.’
So she gave that love back to everyone who loved her.”
“We’re just really grateful to everyone who is here, sending their love and support to our family.
You can see, from the sheer number of people, how many lives Mommy touched.”
Lotlot de Leon: “Mom never had an issue with us.”
Did she have a message she wanted to share with her late mother?
“Mommy already knows—we love her very much.
Our love for her never changed, and neither did hers for us.
That has never been in question. It’s just that other people gave color to things and created speculations.
So if others thought our relationship was chaotic, that’s not true.
For now, let’s avoid such talk—there’s no issue now, none at all.
If we ever had an issue with Mommy, the truth is—Mom never had an issue with us.
Let’s just pray for her, and remember how bright a star she was to everyone.”
