“I gave everything… but sometimes love just isn’t enough.”

After years of silence, actress Andrea Torres has finally opened up about her painful and highly publicized breakup with actor Derek Ramsay. In a heartfelt and emotional interview, Andrea couldn’t hold back her tears as she recalled the heartbreak, confusion, and lessons that came with the end of what many thought was her “forever.”

A Love That Felt Real — Until It Wasn’t

Andrea and Derek’s relationship blossomed in 2019 after working together in the GMA series “The Better Woman.” Their romance quickly became one of the most admired in the industry — full of sweet photos, affectionate interviews, and hints of a future together. Many believed they were headed for marriage.

But in late 2020, fans were shocked when the couple quietly ended their relationship without explanation. For months, Andrea remained silent, allowing the rumors and speculation to swirl without a single word from her.

“I Loved With All My Heart”

Now, Andrea is breaking her silence — and her words reveal just how deep the pain ran.

“I loved with all my heart. I gave everything I could. But sometimes, no matter how much you love someone, it’s not enough to make them stay,” she said, holding back tears during the interview.

Andrea admitted that the breakup hit her harder than anyone knew. For a long time, she chose to keep her grief private — healing quietly while continuing to work and maintain her poise in public.

“I was shattered. I had to put on a brave face even when I was breaking inside,” she added.

Was There a Third Party?

When asked about the rumors that Derek quickly moved on with another actress — Ellen Adarna — Andrea paused for a moment, visibly emotional. But instead of bitterness, her words were filled with grace:

“I won’t speak ill of anyone. I just wish I had been given more clarity and honesty when things were ending. That would have helped me heal faster.”

Choosing Peace Over Drama

Despite the emotional weight of the breakup, Andrea said she holds no hate in her heart. She believes everything happens for a reason and that some people are meant to come into your life only to teach you something.

“It was painful. But I learned a lot — about love, about myself, and about what I truly deserve.”

She also expressed deep gratitude to her fans who stood by her silently and sent her strength during the darkest days.

Moving On With Strength

Today, Andrea Torres continues to thrive. She’s been busy with new acting projects, endorsements, and rediscovering her strength outside of a relationship. Her decision to speak now, years later, wasn’t to reignite drama — but to finally close that chapter with honesty and healing.

Andrea’s tearful confession is a powerful reminder that behind the glitz and glamour, celebrities experience real pain too. But like a true queen, she rises — stronger, wiser, and with her heart intact

Andrea Torres sa pahayag ni Derek Ramsay na ito ang unang nakipag-break sa kanya: “I honestly have a different memory of what transpired and who ended it…”

Many admire Kapuso actress Andrea Torres for her calm handling of her break-up with her ex-boyfriend, Kapuso actor Derek Ramsay.

The two broke up late last year. Andrea has managed to remain quiet and not speak or even make a sound on her social media. Instead, she has focused on more important things such as her work, such as her new series on GMA-7, Legal Wives, where she is one of Dennis Trillo’s leading ladies; her fitness activities, and her family.

On the other hand, Derek has been active in answering questions—whether from netizens or the media—about his break-up with Andrea.

In Derek’s last interview on Cristy Fermin’s radio show, he himself revealed that he was the one who initiated their break-up and that it only happened over the phone.

Even Andrea’s parents were slightly affected when Derek answered “yes” to the question of whether the girl’s parents had anything to do with the issues between them.

In Andrea’s interview with GMA News—which she said was the first and last time she spoke about their break-up—it was clear that she did not agree with her ex’s statements.

“I honestly have a different memory of what transpired and who ended it,” Andrea reportedly said. “But I think it is not worth my time and energy because it will only turn into a ‘he said, she said’ thing.”

And the girl also disagrees with the need to discuss what happened in public. She said; “I don’t see the significance of discussing details in public.”

She said she doesn’t see any good in answering every word her ex-boyfriend, who is now the fiancé of actress Ellen Adarna, says.

She said she was just focused on herself and what was happening in her environment.

“For as long as I am at peace with God and myself and I can truly say that I have chosen to be a better person, I am fine and I have moved on. It’s been months. What’s the point?”

Andrea didn’t elaborate on her parents in Derek’s interview with Cristy Fermin. But it seems like what she said was meaningful: “If he truly respects me and my family, let us have our peace.”

On the other hand, we spoke to some of Andrea’s close friends and they had similar comments. According to them, they were impressed by what they saw in Andrea right from the start of the break-up.

They also said they weren’t surprised why despite the heartache, the actress’s break-up with Derek seemed to be the easiest and most comfortable moving-on process.
