Trending again! Amidst the popularity of popular online seller and influencer Rosmar Tan, a new issue has shaken social media after she was accused of copying one of the most popular food businesses among the masses — Pares ni Diwata.

The former fun and excitement brought by the two viral personalities has now been replaced by tension, criticism, and envy, and it seems that it has ended up in a silent feud that the entire internet is watching.

The Issue: Pares na Parehas?

The issue spread after netizens saw the soft launch of Rosmar’s new food concept, which according to some fans is said to be identical to the branding, concept, and menu of Pares ni Diwata — the food stall that first became famous on the street and is now one of the most popular viral food brands online.

What has many people more worried? Timing.
Almost at the same time as Diwata’s popular expansion, Rosmar’s “carbon copy” pares business suddenly appeared.

Netizens: “Is Diwata the Original, Rosmar the Copy?”

Netizens couldn’t help but speak out and vent their anger on social media:

“It’s not because you have money, you have the right to copy!”

“It’s Diwata who started that on the street, while you were in the air-conditioned kitchen.”

“You stole the spotlight. You’re more famous, but she’s the one with the real heart!”

The hashtags #OriginalSiDiwata and #RosmarCopycat immediately trended on X (Twitter) and Facebook, while TikTok was filled with side-by-side comparison videos of Diwata’s pair and Rosmar’s pair.

Diwata is Silent… But the Message is Powerful
Although there was no direct hit, just one post from Diwata garnered over 1M reactions:

“Not all pairs taste the same. Especially if one was cooked with difficulty. 🥹✨”

Boom! With just one quote, netizens sensed that this was his last straw in copying. One commented:

“No name but it’s so similar!”

Rosmar’s Side: “Pares is for Everyone.”

For his part, Rosmar didn’t hold back either. In a live video, he strongly denied copying:

“I also have the right to build a pares business. We all have the right to dream. I’m not copying, I’m just doing business.”

But despite the explanation, it seems the masses are not convinced. In the comment section:

“If you’re a true entrepreneur, create your own concept.”

“You don’t need to copy, Rosmar. You’re better than that!”

Netizen Verdict: “There’s Money in Copying, But No Heart.”

In the end, the issue remains heated, and fans who are loyal to both — to Rosmar and to Diwata — are fueling it even more. But for now, sympathy for Diwata, the woman who sold the pair under the scorching sun, is more prevalent, while the accusations against Rosmar seem to be deepening.

Real Talk: Is This a Business, or a Seizure of the Spotlight?

From a simple street food, the pair has become a field of competition and controversy. And in this day and age, it’s not just about taste — it’s about who has the real story behind each dish.

Rosmar, inspired by Diwata, imitated Pares Overload
Social media is now a hot topic regarding the conversation or response between Rosmar Tan and Diwata about Pares Overload.
Rosmar recently announced her new business on her social media, but Rosmar’s business is familiar to many netizens because it is similar to Diwata’s trending business, Pares Overload.

This is where Rosmar started receiving a lot of criticism from netizens because she allegedly imitated Diwata’s popular business.

For P100, their pares comes with lechon kawali and flowers, unli rice, unli soup, and soft drink.

But there’s more! Because it also includes unli swimming, and buyers can also use the amenities of their resort such as the playground, basketball arcade, and beer pong.

Rosmar Pares Overload is located at the R Mansion Resort & Restobar in Calauan, Laguna.

It is open from 10 am to 12 am on weekdays while 10 am to 2 am on weekends.

Many also said that Rosmar “lacks originality” or is imitating Diwata.

They insisted that Rosmar should not have tried to match Diwata’s paresan because he is already rich.

Rosmar immediately spoke out about the issue and insisted that he is just a businessman.

He also admitted that he got the idea for his paresan from Diwata’s trending pares overload.

According to Rosmar, he has always wanted to start a paresan business but it was not possible because he was stressed because it took a long time to tenderize the beef.

But when he saw that Diwata uses lechon kawali as the meat in her paresan, he was inspired.

Rosmar also shared that he had told Diwata that he wanted to start a paresan too and she even encouraged him.

Rosmar insisted that he is not fighting Diwata’s pair, especially since Laguna is far from Diwata’s pair’s venue in Pasay City.
