Bimby Aquino Draws a Line: ‘Don’t Include My Dad in Mom’s Last Will’” 🔥

In a turn of events that shocked even those closest to the Aquino family, insiders have revealed that James “Bimby” Aquino Yap Jr., son of Kris Aquino and basketball star James Yap, allegedly made a direct appeal to his mother’s legal team regarding her last will and testament — and it involved his father.

“He was clear, firm, and emotional,” a source close to the family told Manila Headlines.
“He doesn’t want James Yap to be included in any of Kris Aquino’s last will provisions.”

A SON’S PLEA, A MOTHER’S LEGACY

Kris Aquino, known as the “Queen of All Media,” has been battling multiple autoimmune conditions since 2018. With her health declining in recent years, she’s been spending most of her time in the U.S. undergoing treatment, prompting her to review and finalize her estate and legal affairs.

According to insiders, Kris had initially included James Yap in minor portions of her will, as a gesture of goodwill despite their long-separated paths. But Bimby, now 18 and legally of age, reportedly disagreed — and went directly to his mother’s lawyer.

“He feels that the man who was absent for most of his life does not deserve to benefit from his mother’s hard work,” the source added.

FATHER AND SON: STRAINED FROM THE START

The relationship between James Yap and his son Bimby has been rocky, to say the least. Despite numerous attempts at reconciliation in the public eye, Bimby has long felt abandoned, insiders claim.

Back in 2021, Kris posted a now-deleted cryptic message on social media alluding to “people who disappear and return only when it benefits them.” Many believed it referred to James Yap.

“Bimby has always been protective of his mom,” a family friend revealed.
“He saw her cry, he saw her fight alone. For him, loyalty means everything.”

LEGAL IMPLICATIONS AND EMOTIONAL IMPACT

Lawyers close to the Aquino family declined to comment officially, but confirmed that there were recent revisions made to Kris Aquino’s estate plans. Whether these included the complete removal of James Yap remains to be seen.

Legal experts say Bimby’s input may be influential but not legally binding — unless Kris explicitly writes it into her last will and testament.

“She has the right to distribute her assets as she wishes,” said Atty. Marianne dela Cruz.
“But involving her son in the process, especially now that he’s 18, could carry emotional weight.”

PUBLIC REACTIONS: DIVIDED

As the story began circulating on social media, netizens were quick to take sides.

💬 “Good on Bimby! His mom carried everything — he’s just protecting her legacy.”
💬 “James Yap is still his father. He deserves some respect.”
💬 “If this is true, then it’s heartbreaking. This family needs healing, not division.”

A QUIET KRIS, A LOUD MESSAGE

Despite the firestorm, Kris Aquino has remained silent, choosing not to comment or confirm the details. She did, however, post a photo of Bimby on her Instagram stories the same day the rumors broke, with the caption:

“My strength, my reason. Always.”

Was it a subtle nod to his loyalty? Many believe so.

THE FINAL SAY

Ultimately, Kris Aquino holds the pen. Whether she chooses to heed her son’s emotional request or extend grace to her ex-partner will define not just the legal proceedings to come, but how her legacy will be remembered — by her fans, her family, and most importantly, by her son.

Kris Aquino allows Bimby to ‘reconcile’ with father James Yap
In the latest update of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino on Monday, June 19, she announced that her youngest child Bimby has returned to Manila and has reportedly been allowed to meet and reconcile with his father James Yap.

Although no names were mentioned, netizens believe that the actress-TV host was referring to Bimby’s relationship with his father, especially since the Father’s Day celebration had just ended.

This revelation came when Tetay seemed to “react” to her “special someone”, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste, allegedly detailing their relationship in public without her consent. Kris said that she experienced being “fatherless” after Martial Law and she doesn’t want her son to experience the same.

Furthermore, Bimby is old enough to make decisions about his own life.

“On a happier note: no names shall be named BUT it will be easy for you to figure out… a lot has been through. a lot of misunderstandings but I don’t want it to be said that I stop bimb… my own childhood was fatherless because of Martial Law so why’d I subject my youngest to the same fate?”

“From the time Bimb was 8, he had the freedom to decide… now at 16 I told him- “When someone reaches out after 7 years, and there’s a chance for PEACE, then everyone WINS.’”

“Yesterday Father’s Day, my youngest made me proud – he’s had the number to contact for almost a week, and the reluctance was so real, yet he took the 1st step towards rebuilding a relationship that I know will require some time to repair BUT the important thing is that it has already started…” said Kris.
