What was meant to be a regular content shoot turned into an unimaginable tragedy. The family of rising vlogger Rogelio, who suddenly passed away after choking on a chicken bone during a food vlog, is now breaking their silence and calling for justice — blaming not just fate, but possible negligence behind the scenes.

The shocking incident, which has stunned the local content creator community, has reignited serious questions about safety in extreme and unsupervised vlogging trends.

“He died for content,” said one family member tearfully. “And now we’re left with heartbreak, while others just moved on like it was nothing.”

🍗 The Final Video: A Meal That Turned Fatal

According to initial reports, Rogelio was filming a “pa-spicy chicken challenge” vlog with friends when he accidentally swallowed a small chicken bone while trying to eat quickly for the camera. Witnesses say he suddenly clutched his throat, gasped for air, and collapsed on set.

Despite attempts to perform first aid, Rogelio was declared dead on arrival at the nearest hospital.

A raw clip of the chaotic scene — showing bystanders panicking, screaming, and calling for help — has since been deleted, but not before spreading rapidly online.

😡 Family Furious Over Lack of Safety & Oversight

Now, Rogelio’s grieving family is calling out the production team and fellow vloggers who were with him, alleging that no trained medical personnel were present, and that they delayed calling for help, possibly to keep filming.

“They cared more about the views than my brother’s life,” said his sister in a viral Facebook live.
“Where were the safety protocols? Bakit niyo siya pinabayaan?”

The family has formally requested an investigation, with lawyers preparing to file negligence charges against the people involved in the shoot.

💔 Online Tributes Mixed with Outrage

Fans of Rogelio — who had built a solid following for his humorous, street-smart food reviews and vlogs — are devastated, with many posting tribute videos, photos, and candle emojis with the hashtag:

#JusticeForRogelio

#SafeContentNow

#WalangBuhayNaWorth1MViews

“He was just starting to rise. His dream was to lift his family out of poverty,” one fan commented.
“Now he’s gone. And people are just moving on like it’s another episode.”

📢 Calls for Regulation in Vlogging Industry

This tragedy has sparked new calls for YouTube, TikTok, and local government bodies to implement mandatory safety rules for challenge-based or food-related content, including:

On-site emergency response plans

Mandatory choking hazard warnings

Accountability for content producers during live shoots

“We cannot keep losing lives in the name of content,” said a digital ethics expert.
“This is not just sad. It’s preventable.”

🕯️ Final Thought: A Vlog That Should Never Have Been His Last

Rogelio was more than a vlogger. He was a brother, a dreamer, and a young man who saw the internet as his chance to rise. But in the rush for views, shares, and laughs — a human life was lost.

And now, as his family cries for justice, the message is clear:

No viral moment is worth a life. No video is worth a funeral

Vlogger who died from chicken bones buried, family cries: Justice!
THE vlogger who died after accepting a challenge from one of his followers to eat chicken with all its bones has been buried.

The content creator from Leyte passed away due to complications from eating chicken bones in exchange for a P20,000 reward that the challenger said would be given to him.

On the Facebook account of the late mukbanger Rogelio Adriano, his delivery to the cemetery where he will be buried was watched live.

The video shows several men helping to carry Rogelio’s coffin out of their house until it was placed on a cart, which transported his remains to the cemetery.

It can be recalled that the vlogger accepted a challenge from one of his YouTube subscribers who said that he would be given P20,000 if he could eat the entire chicken including its bones.

In his vlog, he was seen eating chicken, which he also posted on his Facebook page, but after a few days, he was rushed to the hospital due to severe stomach pain.

According to the doctor who examined the vlogger, he had an internal injury in the abdomen due to the bones he ate, which blocked his intestine. This was the cause of his death.

However, according to Rogelio’s acquaintances, after he did the challenge, his follower who challenged him to mukbang suddenly disappeared like a bubble.

He allegedly deactivated his social media account suddenly, so the victim’s content creator friends could no longer message him.

That’s why Rogelio’s family is calling for the follower to be tracked down and held accountable for the mukbanger’s death.
