Monday was a sad day in showbiz due to the passing of actor/director Manny Castañeda.

Gays are the ones who are sadder because of what happened to director Manny, who was found dead after three days.

It is even sadder that he died alone.

That is why some of the gays we chatted with are depressed because they realized that the life of a gay man is really sad if he is alone in life.

You live alone, you will also die alone.

But that does not mean that the life of a gay man is sad. But it is better that your family is still with you. You can form a family even if you are not related by blood, as long as the love for each other is there.

One of those who is very affected by the passing of director Manny is his BFF director Joey Reyes.

Direk Joey posted on his Facebook account that their beautiful friendship started when they were 8 years old.

They only separated during the last years of grade school until high school. But they met again in the La Salle canteen, and since then they have not been separated.

Part of his FB post; “We have been friends for sixty-one years…and how you have left. Honestly, I do not know how it is going to be without my best friend just sitting out there ready to bitch it out with me.

“We may have our differences in political beliefs, we may have our arguments but we were there for each other…all the way.”
