Final Thoughts

Vhong Navarro’s emotional return to It’s Showtime is a powerful reminder that even in the face of adversity, hope and love endure. Through his heartfelt message, he has reconnected with the very people who made his journey worthwhile — the madlang people. As the applause fades, one thing is certain: the stage truly feels complete once again with Vhong’s presence

“It’s Showtime” family and the madlang people gave host Vhong Navarro a rousing welcome upon his return to the popular noontime variety show on Monday. The actor-host was moved to tears as his fellow hosts performed Moffats’ “I’ll Be There For You.”

It was so nice to receive you. I don’t know how to thank you for the people who prayed, trusted, and didn’t leave me,” said Vhong. “When I entered ABS, I said I didn’t want to cry. I didn’t want to cry because this is my second home. No matter what I’ve been through in my life, you’re welcome here. My siblings and family are here, as well as the audience, you’re an extension of my family.”

Vhong revealed that it took him some time to return to the show as he had to attend to important matters.

“When I left, I couldn’t return right away because there were still processes that needed to be done. But the Lord was kind and didn’t abandon me so I’m here now. Thank you so much to ABS-CBN because I have a job again. My family is here too,” he added.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda shared that Vhong was unsure as to whether he would receive the same enthusiastic reception from the madlang people.

“I just kept reminding him that if it would be easier on his chest, we would feel how much they love him. I don’t usually read comments but I do read about you. More than 95% of the comments are about love and support for you. So your return won’t be difficult because they are just waiting for your return to hug, love, and support you,” the Unkabogable star said.

Their fellow hosts Anne Curtis, Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, Karylle, Amy Perez, Ryan Bang, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Ion Perez, Cianne Dominguez, and MC Muah also expressed their happiness at Vhong’s comeback.

“You know I always say in the chatroom that I know you need the time as well as to be with the people who really missed you. But I just wanted to see that we are really happy to have you back and welcome home,” said Anne.

“You know when you were gone, we prayed for a miracle to come back. You are the miracle,” said Ogie.

Karylle emotionally shared, “I don’t know what to say because I really lost hope. I’m sorry that my hope was gone but sometimes people will come and say ‘one day it will happen’ and here you are. I’m just so grateful.”

Teddy, Ryan, and Ion stated how they prayed to be with their brother Vhong again.
