The accident claimed the lives of aspiring actor Andrei Sison, and his two companions, Paolo Bueza and Arman Velasco.

Josh Ford, who like Andrei is also a contract star of Sparkle GMA Artist Center, survived the tragedy.

The victims were in a BMW car that crashed into the wall of New Intramuros Village on Friday morning.

In an interview with Cabinet Files, Police Executive Master Sergeant Hermogenes Campanero Fortes Jr. of Traffic Sector 5 gave some details about the investigation being conducted by their office.

He stated, “We are still investigating. We are still gathering CCTV footage, we have already requested it.

“We still don’t have the autopsy results [on the victims]. What we are doing is gathering evidence that can be used.”

According to Fortes, the driver of the Ford EcoSport SUV car that was involved in the accident will file a complaint because the BMW hit his car.

“We might be able to file the case. The one who got hit by the Ford EcoSport will be the one who will complain.

“In the middle [of the road], it’s like you’re walking on the moon, the two lanes on the side, the one there, is a bike lane. There are plastic barriers.

“This EcoSport driver, he really was steady there, huh.

“The BMW was going fast, probably from the middle of the road, they felt like they were going through corrugated, really bumpy from PLDT to Don Antonio Heights, like you were going through the moon.

“The BMW was probably going fast, they felt like they were bouncing around, they pulled over. When they pulled over, the BMW was going fast, they didn’t think they would catch up with the EcoSport because the driver was only going 50 to 60 kmph. So, they were heading to the bike line. They must have hesitated because they saw a plastic barrier on the other side, they wanted to go back to the tail of the EcoSport but they hit the last taillight and tire of the EcoSport.

“After they turned, they continued to the right into New Intramuros Village.

“You can see that New Intramuros is going uphill, then the BMW flew, hit the former police station of Station 6, then they crashed into the wall of the New Intramuros gate, almost knocking their car down.”

Investigators learned that the BMW car was only rented, where Bueza was driving.

Bueza’s relatives have reportedly spoken to the police authorities.

According to Fortes, “No one has contacted us yet, only the relative of Paolo Bueza, he is the driver of the BMW.

“The other relatives have not been here yet except for Bueza’s relative.

“We did not get any driver’s licenses or IDs because when our responders arrived, the rescuers had already gone first.”

The victims were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center, but only Josh miraculously survived.

Fortes said they learned that Josh was released from the hospital immediately, which means that his injuries were not serious.

“We were told that Josh was also released from the hospital that day. So, that means [the injuries] were not fatal.

“Some girls also came here, also teenagers, they said they were Josh’s cousins, looking for his cellphone. That was their concern because Josh was really looking for his cellphone,” Fortes said about Josh’s situation. In the video taken by Angkas driver and vlogger Boying Lakwatsero, Josh can be seen getting out of the car that crashed into the wall and being supported as he walked to the ambulance that took him to the hospital.

In an interview with Cabinet Files on Saturday, March 25, Boying said that he intentionally filmed the accident so that the victims’ families would know what really happened.
