Herbert Bautista finally speaks up on Kris Aquino’s tirade
“We talked about marriage, but of course marriage is a process.” Senatorial aspirant Herbert Bautista has broken his silence on the latest allegations against him by his ex-fiancée Kris Aquino.

Kris targeted Herbert for his surprise attendance at the proclamation rally of the Leni Robredo-Kiko Pangilinan tandem in Tarlac City on March 23, 2022.

Kris attended Robredo and Pangilinan’s campaign rally with her two children Joshua and Bimby and close friend Angel Locsin.

During one part of the program, Kris and Angel came together on stage to introduce Robredo. Angel likened Robredo’s solid supporters to a relationship that is truly reliable.

Angel said, “Even if it rains, they attend. Rain or shine, there is no excuse, they come out.

“Because that’s what we want in a person, right?

“When you’re looking for a friend, a relationship, you have to always be there for you, not just during elections.”

Kris interjected, “Gel, you’re hitting me there. Ouch. Ouch.”

Angel defended Kris, “Sister, you always come out whenever there’s a disaster like VP Leni.”

Kris pointed out that she meant that she was hit when it came to unreliable relationships.

According to Kris, “No, what you said was, there was a relationship.”

Angel seemed confused when she commented, “Is he here?”

Kris replied, “The one in Uniteam, the ex…”

Although Kris did not mention the name of her ex, it is not unknown to the public that her ex who was part of Uniteam is former Quezon City Mayor Bautista.

This is also her only recent boyfriend before Mel Sarmiento.

Bautista is part of the senatorial slate of Uniteam with Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte.

Kris also said about her ex-fiancé, “Oh, don’t vote for him, ha.

“The vote is a waste because he doesn’t know how to keep his promises.

“We talked about it, but because of her experience and because of what happened to me, it seems that conversation about marriage was serious but not as serious in really getting married.”

Herbert also talked about his alleged short-lived relationship with Kris.

He said, “Well, Kris, what, our relationship was very brief. It’s my first time talking about her.

“And as much as possible, I don’t want to, because maybe she’ll scold me or, I mean, she’ll scold me again.

“She told me that I shouldn’t be talking about our past.

“What I can say about Kris is, she’s a very intelligent person, very caring person, really caring.

“And always the words of wisdom, you can always hear her. But we never stopped communicating.

“There are times when we don’t communicate, no texts, no calls for about three, four, five months, suddenly, then, she’ll text, I’ll text.

“Then we talk again for one, two, three days, after that, then, another month, we don’t talk, like that, until PNoy died.

“And then, after that, the communication was lost again.”

PNoy is Kris’ older brother, former President Noynoy Aquino.

“I DID NOT ASSUME”
Herbert continued, it was a few days before the news of Kris’s suggestion reached him.

When he read it on social media, he said he asked himself if Kris was really referring to him.

The host-actress reportedly has four ex-boyfriends who support or are part of the UniTeam: herself, Robin Padilla (also running for senator), James Yap (running for San Juan City councilor), and Philip Salvador (running for Party-List representative).

Herbert added, “When he talked about Tarclac, I didn’t assume it was me, because he didn’t mention any names.

“When he said he was part of the UniTeam, I only found out after that, two days after.

“I saw some pictures, like, who’s here? We’re all in the UniTeam. It’s like that, it’s like it’s not me, huh.”

On April 2, the UniTeam went to Tarlac City to hold a grand proclamation rally.

Here, Herbert delivered a message to Kris.

He said, “So, I didn’t assume her. So, at one point in Tarlac, we were in Tarlac a while ago, I said my number, 8, I wanted to ask my ex but I don’t know if she was really talking to me.

“If it were me, this would be my only message to her, this is what I said on stage, ‘I have great respect for your family and then for you. My love for you as a friend will never go away. Get well and eat a lot,’ which I would always tell her.”

In the end, Herbert said that Kris is always in his prayers especially since she has a health problem.

Maybe she has left the country to get better in America.

Herbert said, “I do pray for her that her illness will be okay.

“And I hope and pray that she recovers soon enough.”

In December 2017, Kris said that her then-boyfriend Herbert proposed to her for a second time in Rome, Italy.

He also gave her a one-carat, heart-shaped, D-color diamond ring.
