The two former housemaids of ‘Maid in Malacañang’ star Ruffa Gutierrez have formally filed a complaint, according to 3PWD 1st nominee Rowena Guanzon on Wednesday, July 20.

In Guanzon’s tweet, the said housemaids approached the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) for allegedly evicting them without being paid.

“The 2 former housemaids of Ruffa G wna taka kabankalan negros occidenral filed a complaint in the NLRC for backwages and damages,” Guanzon said, attaching a screenshot of their conversation with a Rey Segubiense 2017. It can be recalled that Guanzon previously teased this on July 7 through a tweet.

“My friend has to rescue two household helpers who were thrown out of a first-class village by their employers without paying their salaries. Where is your compassion?” he promised.
However, the actress denied it.

“Hello Ms. Guanzon, No it’s not true. There was a situation at home while I was shooting on the set of “Maid In Malacañang”, so my staff had to call security to make sure my children were safe,” Ruffa’s first response in the same thread.

“The 2 new maids who have been in our household for only around 2 weeks were fighting our 68-year old senior mayordoma (who has been under my care for more than 18 years),” Ruffa added details.

He said, “They were fighting with other colleagues at home when I wasn’t there. They were demanding to leave the house, which I said they were able to do AFTER I returned home from work, so I could talk to them before they leave.”

The actress then clarified that contrary to Guanzon’s statement, she did not allegedly fire or fire any of her helpers.

“Let me make it clear: I did NOT fire anyone. They wanted to leave on their own accord. I have rarely been home shooting every day, all day, all night for #MAIDinMALACANANG – You should watch it BTW. You’re gonna love it,” Ruffa said.

“I’m always very generous with those I love and those that work for me so most of our helpers have been with me for 13-35 years. We are FAMILY. Through thick and thin, that’s it. My lawyers are on top of the situation. Thank you and have a great day,” the actress continued.
