Actress Matet De Leon gave her followers an update about her relationship with her mother, veteran actress Nora Aunor, on her latest YouTube live last Saturday, January 7.

Matet revealed that she and her mother have reconciled following the controversy that surrounded their relationship as mother and child.Matet revealed that it was Nora who initiated the reconciliation.“Mommy chatted with me hoping that everything would be okay, that we would be okay, that it would be because it’s a new year [so] we can forget about what happened in the past,” she shared.The 39-year-old entrepreneur added that she had wanted to reconcile with her mother even before Christmas.

“Before Christmas, I wanted to send mommy a message that everything would be okay but mommy chatted with me first. I think that’s God’s way to make everything okay,” she revealed.

Matet quickly noted that she accepted the apology as she also wanted to have peace in their family.

“Who am I not to say yes to that and (not) to agree with her? God forgives. The only thing I did wrong there, I said that I will not talk to him anymore. I can’t,” she said. Her YouTube live came after she spoke with her mother in a vlog. She later on went to share that her anger drove her to make such rash decisions to cut off her mother from her and her family’s life. “My mommy and I have made up.
