Manila, Philippines – The entertainment industry is once again shaken as rumors swirl regarding the last will and testament left behind by the late, legendary Nora Aunor. But what caught the public’s attention even more was the alleged reaction of her adopted daughter, Matet De Leon, who reportedly expressed surprise and deep emotion over the contents of the will.
A Legacy Wrapped in Mystery
Known as the “Superstar”, Nora Aunor left behind not only a legacy that shaped Philippine cinema, but also a complex web of family and personal relationships. It’s no secret that her ties with Matet had been strained over the years, with Matet previously opening up about feeling abandoned and hurt by her relationship with her adoptive mother.
So when news broke that Nora’s last will had surfaced, many were curious: Was Matet mentioned? Was she left out? Or was there an emotional reconciliation expressed through the Superstar’s final words?
The Alleged Reaction: Silent But Powerful
According to insiders close to the family, Matet did not make a public statement — but she was said to have reacted emotionally upon learning about the will. One source claimed:
“She didn’t expect to feel this way. Whether or not she was included in the will, the emotional weight of it hit her deeply. There were tears.”
Speculations arose that a portion of Nora Aunor’s estate may have been allocated to unexpected individuals, while some close to her were reportedly left out, fueling whispers of unresolved tensions.
Rumors or Reality?
Social media lit up with mixed reactions. Some netizens defended Matet, saying she deserved recognition regardless of past issues, while others questioned the legitimacy of the reports, urging people to wait for an official statement.
“People forget that Matet loved her deeply. Pain doesn’t erase love,” one commenter wrote.
“Why are people so obsessed with the will? Let them grieve in peace,” another netizen added.
Still No Confirmation from the Family
As of now, no member of the Aunor-De Leon family has officially confirmed or denied the details of the will or Matet’s alleged reaction. However, sources say that the document is being handled privately with legal counsel, and no public release is expected soon.
The Bigger Picture: Closure or More Questions?
This story isn’t just about property or inheritance — it’s about legacy, forgiveness, and unfinished emotions. For many fans who grew up watching Nora Aunor and witnessing Matet’s journey, this moment serves as a bittersweet chapter in a story that has always been filled with both brilliance and heartbreak.
As the nation mourns the loss of a Superstar, all eyes remain on whether this family will find peace, even if it’s only now — in the silence left behind.
Matet to Ate Guy: ‘God forgives, eh… I was wrong to say I wouldn’t talk to him anymore, I just couldn’t’
THE Superstar Nora Aunor was the first to take steps to reconcile with her son Matet de Leon.
That’s what the actress announced to the audience after the rumor surfaced that she was the one who initiated the reconciliation between her and Ate Guy.
On her YouTube channel, Matet released a vlog to share with her supporters and subscribers what happened when she and her mother met again.
She herself confirmed that she and Ate Guy had indeed spoken and reconciled after a disagreement over business.

You May LikeThe Superstar was competing with Matet in her gourmet tuyo and tinapa business. The actress was just surprised that her mother had copied the business that she and her husband were growing.
“Mommy chatted with me hoping things would be okay, that we would be okay, that it was a new year so we could forget about what happened in the past,” Matet shared.
“Before Christmas, I wanted to send mommy a message that things were okay but mommy chatted with me first. I think that’s God’s way for everything to be okay,” he said.
He said he immediately accepted Ate Guy’s apology because he didn’t want to prolong their feud and so that their family would be free from intrigue and controversy.
“Who am I not to say yes to that and not to agree with her? God forgives. My only mistake was that I said I wouldn’t talk to her anymore. I just couldn’t,” Matet said.
Matet also admitted that it was intense anger that pushed him to make his feelings public.
“My mom and I have made up. They saw it, Kuya John (Rendez) has uploaded a video. I think I spoke too soon when I said I didn’t want to talk to her anymore. See what anger can do?” said Matet.
The actress mentioned in one of her social media posts last December, 2022 that she would never talk to her mother again because of what happened.
