In a show known for laughter and lighthearted banter, one moment has shattered the joyful illusion. Comedian and It’s Showtime regular MC Muah is now at the center of a brewing controversy — and according to insiders, he’s decided to leave the program after being allegedly humiliated on live television by no less than Vice Ganda himself.
from laughter to tears: “that wasn’t funny — it hurt.”
What began as another comedic segment turned tense when Vice Ganda reportedly called out and mocked MC Muah in front of the audience after an unscripted joke. What was supposed to be a fun moment quickly became uncomfortable — with awkward silence filling the studio.
“I know it’s comedy, but there are limits. It didn’t feel like a joke. It felt personal.” – source close to MC
Witnesses claim MC Muah was visibly shaken, and according to reports, broke down in tears backstage.
the silent pain behind the smile
While fans are used to seeing MC Muah’s loud, bubbly energy, sharp-eyed viewers noticed a sudden shift in his demeanor after the incident. He appeared subdued, quiet — even absent from some tapings.
Social media was quick to react:
“He looked like he wasn’t okay.”
“Sometimes the ones who laugh the loudest are the ones hurting the most.”
Speculation grew as insiders revealed that MC Muah has been in talks to quietly exit the program, possibly permanently.
vice ganda’s joke — or insult?
Vice Ganda has long been known for edgy humor, but this time, many say the joke went too far. Viewers took to social media, calling out the star’s behavior:
“That wasn’t a punchline — it was a punch in the gut.”
“Vice crossed the line. MC deserved more respect.”
As of now, Vice Ganda has not issued any official statement, leaving fans divided and tensions unresolved.
the possible departure: a loss for the show
MC Muah isn’t just a sidekick — he’s been a key part of the show’s energy. His natural wit and warmth connected with many fans. If he does leave, It’s Showtime loses not just a comedian, but a heart.
“We’ll support you wherever you go.”
“Thank you for always making us laugh, even when you were hurting inside.”
more than just a show: when laughter becomes painful
This isn’t just about showbiz drama. It’s about respect, boundaries, and knowing when humor becomes harmful.
If MC Muah truly walks away from It’s Showtime, it serves as a powerful reminder:
even the funniest person can get hurt.
and not all jokes are harmless.
Vice Ganda slams MC Muah for ‘embarrassing’
Returning from a campaign abroad, Justin Quiban, a natural at the local tournament, carded an eagle for a six-under-par 65 to take the lead at the ICTSI Forest Hills Classic-Nicklaus layout in Antipolo on Tuesday.
Taking a breather from the Asian Tour and International Series, he made the most of the perfect scoring conditions early in the morning. He opened his attack with two birdies and capped his attack with an eagle-3 on the par-5 10th. Despite stumbling into a bogey on the tight par-4 12th, he closed strong, birdying three of the last five holes for a 33-32 scorecard on the par-71 course.
His fiery finish beat out early leaders Tom Marcelo and seasoned campaigner Guido Van Der Valk, who matched 66s for joint second.
“I didn’t really expect to be ahead, my game was trending in the right direction,” Quiban said. “I just committed to every shot and trusted my game. I just happened to be ahead of the game.”
Despite a lack of “local knowledge” of the Forest Hills terrain, he credited mental discipline and shot-by-shot commitment for his stellar opening round.
“Just a little bit of hesitation here and you could hit it off-line, lose the ball, or worse, double,” said the three-time Philippine Golf Tour winner. “So staying focused is the key.”
Coming into Tour action, Van Der Valk showed no signs of rust, opening with back-to-back birdies and adding five more against a lone bogey to match Marelo’s 66.
However, the strong run opened up a bit on the 18th, where a misstep led to a closing bogey and he lost a share of the lead.
“I hit the middle of the fairway but I got the wind wrong,” said the Dutchman.
“I started well but I wasn’t sure where my game was,” added the Dutchman. “I didn’t expect to be in this position after a long break. I’ve been practicing, but you don’t really know how rusty you are until you get back to tournament conditions. Fortunately, the strong start helped calm me down, and I was able to build momentum from there.”
Marcelo recovered from three early bogeys with a birdie barrage, including three straight from No. 5 to take a share of second.
The Marikina native, who missed the cut in the first two legs of the circuit organized by Pilipinas Golf Tournaments, Inc., admitted early on that “I was a bit nervous,” he said. “But after that slump, my game settled down.”
Defending champions Keanu Jahns and Jeffren Lumbo followed with 67s, while a host of challengers stayed just one to three strokes back, setting the stage for a long battle of shotmaking precision, strategic iron play, clutch putting, and course management in a risk-and-reward layout where fortunes can change quickly.
Jahns, who scored his rare win here last year, rallied to take the lead but rallied with four birdies to come back, while Lumbo impressed early with a four-under 32 but cooled with a pair of bogeys to go with two birdies to go home.
Reymon Jaraula stood in solo sixth with a 68 after a roller-coaster round that included a double bogey and an eagle on No. 16, while club pro Randy Garalde used the familiar rolling layout to shoot 69, and several others, including Rupert Zaragosa, Carl Corpus, Luis Bagtas, and two Japanese bets – Junichi Katayama and Atsushi Ueda – each shot 70 to stay in the hunt.
Other big names, however, found the going tough – hampered either by a lengthy layoff or a dip in form.
Angelo Que, who is looking to extend his back-to-back title run from Pradera Verde and Eagle Ridge, entered the tournament with optimism. But the three-time Asian Tour winner, still reeling from a series of lackluster performances overseas, bogeyed the first three holes. Despite rallying with four birdies, he was ousted by three bogeys at the 24th for a three-over 74.
Michael Bibat, Zanieboy Gialon, Gab Manotoc and reigning Match Play champion Arnold Villacencio also finished with 74s.
Clyde Mondilla, who won here in 2023, looked to be making an early impression with birdies on Nos. 2 and 3. But a stretch marked by four bogeys over 10 holes from No. 5 halted the momentum. A late birdie on No. 16 saved him a one-over 72, leaving him in a tie for 17th with six others, including recent Asian Development Tour winner Aidric Chan.
Meanwhile, Tony Lascuña struggled to get anything going on the layout. The multi-titled veteran slipped early with two bogeys and a double bogey on the front nine, added another bogey on No. 14, and made just one birdie on the 16th. He signed for an uncharacteristic 76, falling into a tie for 44th.
