Beloved media icon Kris Aquino, once hailed as the “Queen of All Media,” is now facing one of the toughest battles of her life—not just with her health, but with her once-vast fortune that is reportedly depleting at an alarming rate.

The 53-year-old actress, TV host, and endorser has been fighting multiple autoimmune diseases over the past few years. But while fans remain focused on her recovery, what many don’t see is the financial toll her long and complicated treatments have taken.

“Money Can’t Buy Health”

In a recent candid update shared online, Kris revealed that millions of pesos have already been spent on treatments abroad. From rare medication to long-term hospitalization, from private specialists to specialized living conditions in the U.S., it’s clear that her health journey has not only been physically and emotionally exhausting—but financially draining.

“Hindi ko inakala na darating sa punto na masasabi ko, nauubos na pala ang naipon ko,” Kris admitted in a voice message to a close friend, later shared anonymously online. “Pero anong magagawa mo? Buhay ko ito ang nakataya.”

Once a Symbol of Wealth

Kris Aquino was never just a celebrity. As the daughter of two national icons—former President Cory Aquino and Senator Ninoy Aquino—and a powerhouse on her own, she built an empire of endorsements, television shows, product lines, and properties. Her net worth once stood among the highest in Philippine entertainment.

She owned multiple properties, luxury cars, designer collections, and was known for her generosity—not just to family and friends, but to fans and strangers in need.

But as her illness progressed and her public appearances declined, so too did her ability to maintain the media empire she had built for decades. Endorsement deals were put on hold. TV projects were canceled. And with her relocation to the United States for treatment, expenses only mounted further.

Fighting On, With Bimby by Her Side

Despite the grim updates, Kris continues to fight—drawing strength from her youngest son, Bimby, who has become her constant companion and caregiver. The 17-year-old is seen in many of her updates, holding her hand and offering comfort during her worst days.

“He’s my reason to keep going,” Kris once said, tearfully. “I may lose everything else, but as long as I can give him a future, I’ll be okay.”

Fans have rallied behind her, sending support, prayers, and encouragement from all over the world. Some have even urged the government and entertainment industry to honor and support Kris, who gave decades of her life to bringing light and laughter to Filipino households.

The Legacy Beyond the Wealth

As reports continue to circulate about Kris’s fortune being “slowly lost,” many are reflecting on what she’s truly leaving behind—a legacy of courage, honesty, and generosity, even in the face of overwhelming trials.

“She may be losing material wealth,” one fan commented online, “but she’s gaining something far greater: our respect and love.”

And in a time when so much seems uncertain for her, one thing remains clear: Kris Aquino is still a fighter—and she’s not done yet

What is Kris Aquino’s Illness? Let’s Find Out the Details Here!
Most of us still don’t know what Kris Aquino’s illness is and why she is constantly in the hospital and getting injections. She put an end to the rumors and doubts about her true illness when she gave an update on her Instagram on Monday.

The Queen of all Media’s Update on Her Health
Kris Aquino shared an update on her health using her Instagram page where she posted a video with photos of herself while she was recently undergoing treatment.

“I’ve always been proud of my honesty & courage. I wish I could have flown quietly but I owe it to those who are praying for my health to THANK YOU & to tell the TRUTH,” she said in her Instagram caption.

“‘The gossip that I’m confined, that I’m in the ICU and that I’m dying, you’re way ahead of your time. Just to be clear, and because you want to kill me, well, I’m not dead yet, I’m going to fight to stay alive,” he said in his eight-minute video.

What is Kris Aquino’s illness?
1. Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria
His post also seemed to answer those who were still asking what Kris Aquino’s illness was. Although she was not in the ICU, she revealed that since the end of April they had been experiencing “life-threatening” symptoms.

One of the TV personality’s three confirmed autoimmune conditions is spontaneous urticaria.

Chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) is the medical term for hives that last six weeks or more, appearing frequently on the skin about three to four times a week. There is no specific cause or trigger for why a person develops it.

CSU is also characterized by the presence of weals and angioedema. Weals can affect any part of the body and can be widespread.

Some patients diagnosed with this condition also experience some symptoms such as the following:

2. Autoimmune Thyroiditis
Autoimmune thyroiditis is also known as Hashimoto’s disease or chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis.

The thyroid gland produces hormones that control almost all of the body’s metabolic functions (how the body converts food into energy) and keep it functioning normally. The immune system does not recognize the thyroid and attacks it.

Hashimoto’s disease progresses slowly over the years. You may not notice the signs and symptoms of the condition. However, over time, decreased thyroid hormone production can result in any of the following:3. Stage 3 Churg Strauss Syndrome
Churg Strauss syndrome is a disease that causes inflammation of the blood vessels. This results in restricted blood flow, which can cause damage to organs throughout the body if left untreated. This condition is also known as eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA). According to the American Lung Association, EGPA is a very rare type of vasculitis.

The condition can occur in three stages and gradually worsens. Almost all cases of Churg Strauss syndrome experience asthma, chronic sinusitis, and eosinophils (high white blood cell counts). Unfortunately, there is no cure for the disease. It can only be controlled with steroids and other powerful immunosuppressant drugs.

Why Did He Have to Fly to America?

According to Kris, his doctors here and in America are concerned about possible organ damage to his heart and lungs. This is why they are doing everything they can to get him to Houston. He added that the medications God gave him do not have FDA approval here or in Singapore and that he will be infused with chemotherapy as his immunosuppressant. This is because he is allergic to all steroids.

Kris also showed in her video the stitches on her arm which she said were very painful, but stressed that she was not complaining and was happy to be alive.

Kris ended her post by asking the public to stop posting hurtful comments on her social media accounts. This is not for her, but for her sons Josh and Bimby.

“You don’t need to like me to be human… please don’t punish kuya & bimb for being my sons. It’s not bad to be brave and tell the hard truth.Kris was supposed to leave for abroad in early May, but her doctors didn’t clear her due to her high blood pressure. She also mentioned that they will be leaving on May 19, adding that it will take at least two years before they know if her treatment will be effective for her.
