Ogie Alcasid has expressed support for his It’s Showtime co-host Vice Ganda amid the criticism the latter is receiving from netizens following his decision to call out EXpecially For You searchee Axel.

In his tweet, Ogie Alcasid insisted that Vice Ganda’s only intention is to make people happy, contradicting some critics’ accusations that the comedian is making ordinary people laugh.

“This is long overdue. There is a friend I know who comes to work only with the sole intention of making people happy. This person takes it all—for the team, for the show, and for the madlang pipol. This is why I stand for this friend of mine, imperfect as she is. Love you meme,” Ogie Alcasid tweeted in defense of Vice Ganda.

Ogie Alcasid’s tweet immediately drew mixed reactions from netizens. Many of Vice Ganda’s fans are grateful to him for supporting his friend.

Despite this, it cannot be denied that even Ogie Alcasid is being criticized by some of Vice Ganda’s critics for allegedly tolerating the Unkabogable Star’s wrongdoings.

Ogie Alcasid was also openly criticized for what he is doing is not the work of a good person with principles.
