Tuesday, August 20, 2024, when the couple started talking on social media because of a post on a Facebook page about Regine’s alleged “divorce” filing.

The singer-actress-host allegedly wanted to annul her marriage to her husband, because of his “betrayal” of her. Something that Regine immediately denied.

This happened on the episode of It’s Showtime this Saturday, August 24, the day Ogie celebrated his 57th birthday with a production number. This is even though his actual birthday is still on August 27.

REGINE sweet BIRTHDAY MESSAGES TO OGIE
After Ogie’s special production number, his co-hosts called his wife Regine and son Nate to the stage, so that they could give him a birthday message. Nate gave the message first, followed by Regine.

According to Asia’s Songbird, she has no other wish than for her husband to be successful in all his projects as a producer.

Regine’s message to Ogie: “I just want him to be successful in his projects with other people, because he is a producer.

“My prayers are that he doesn’t get tired because of how much he does. He’s there every day, he’s still producing, then he continues to write songs, he continues to reinvent his song, he continues to reinvent himself.

“In this business, it’s hard to be relevant, and I think my husband can do that because he’s not afraid to reinvent himself.

After her sweet message, Regine couldn’t hold back anymore from blowing out the false speculation about her and Ogie’s relationship.

She said she couldn’t understand why her relationship with her husband was being targeted.

Regine admitted that sometimes she and Ogie had misunderstandings that they quickly resolved without getting divorced.

She said: “By the way, I just wanted to point out the one who said we broke up. Wait for it, okay? Wait for it.

“Because you know, friends, marriage is difficult. Marriage is already difficult the way it is.

“But there are still people who are trying to make it more difficult for us, that’s not good. It’s like you’re praying for us to separate.

“We will never separate, because we love each other.”

Regine also strongly denied the speculation that Ogie cheated on her.

In defense of the Kapamilya singer, she believes that her husband could not do this because she knows him to be kind, respectful, and God-fearing. She also feels that he loves her and their children—Nate, as well as Leila and Sarah, Ogie’s children with his ex-wife Michelle van Eimeren.

Regine said: “Our marriage is not perfect, but for me, it really is. It’s not perfect, of course there are issues but I want to say that my husband is very kind.

“You know how I know he’s kind, because he is God-centered. His focus is on God even though he’s doing a lot.

“Hence, I’m the one who benefits from that because he loves the Lord very much, he’s a kind and good husband [to me] and father to our children.

So please if you see any writeups [about our separation], don’t believe them.”

Regine also asked people not to immediately believe what they see and read online. It is better to first verify the truth of the information they receive.

She said, “You can see us on our social media, we are very close, he’s my best friend.”

On Threads on August 21, the singer-songwriter posted a statement on what he said were defamatory allegations against him and Regine. Ogie said he regrets such posts, especially regarding his marriage to his wife, Regine.

They say it’s sacred to them, but they’re trying to make up stories even though there’s not a shred of truth to it.
