Jane de Leon has strongly denied the circulating issue that she is the reason why Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez’s guest appearance in the finale of Mars Ravelo’s Darna was canceled.

Recently, there was a trending and talked about on social media that Jane was “acting out” so Regine did not continue her guest appearance in the series. Immediately, JRB Creative Production, the producer of Darna, released an official statement on January 27, 2023, to clarify the allegation that Jane was at fault.

According to the statement, Jane and Regine’s schedules did not match so the singer-actress could not continue.

“For clarification, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez’s guest appearance on “Mars Ravelo’s Darna” was canceled because her schedule did not match up with Jane De Leon’s.

“We wholeheartedly thank Regine for her gracious acceptance of our invitation.”

At the Darna finale mediacon on Monday, January 30, 2023, Jane personally pleaded not to escalate the issue.

She said, “Actually, for me, it was not an issue to begin with.

“Sister Reg [Regine] and I just had a really bad time together.

“And I think it’s very normal for artists.“She was doing her rehearsal for her upcoming concert. And at that time, I had my endorsement show.

“So we tried to adjust our schedules, we just weren’t allowed to.” She also said that she and Regine didn’t really have a fight. In fact, they were together recently and they talked about their supposed breakup.

Jane said, “It’s sad [it didn’t work out], but we were together before and we talked about it. That’s just because of the schedule, it didn’t work out.

“But I’m looking forward to him working.

“There are still many opportunities for that and it’s just sad because we’re both excited. When we’re together, we always talk about it.”
