Christine Dacera, sinundo sa Room 2207 at binuhat na pabalik sa 2209 umaga ng Jan.1

In a CCTV footage from the hallway of a hotel in Makati, Christine Dacera was seen going to Room 2207 at around 5:45 am on January 1, 2021, and was picked up by a friend a few minutes later but was already being carried back to their room, Room 2209.

In a report by Emil Sumangil on GMA News “24 Oras” on Tuesday, it was said that a confidential source at the Philippine National Police provided a copy of the video showing Dacera’s last moments before she was found unresponsive in the bathtub of their room in 2209.

In the video, Dacera can be seen leaving their room 2209 at around 5:45 am and heading to 2207 where other guests of their yearend party were staying.

Dacera and her friends were in 2209, and friends of her friends were in 2207.

At 6:00 am, a friend of Dacera, Valentine Rosales, left 2209 and went to 2207 to pick up the 23-year-old flight attendant.

After 20 minutes, Dacera left 2207 but her friend carried her back to 2209. However, Dacera was still conscious.

However, upon returning to 2209, Dacera’s vomiting intensified.

At 6:40 am, a friend of Dacera was filmed outside 2209 apparently arguing with a man who had checked in to 2207.

The men allegedly seen on CCTV who appeared to be arguing were Edward Madrid and Joseph Darwin Macalla.

According to the report, the source said Macalla was one of eight people in Room 2207.

In earlier reports, it was said that some men who stayed in Room 2207 left the hotel at around 7:00 am.

At noon that day, Dacera was found in the bathtub where he had been sleeping, not breathing.

The National Bureau of Investigation said that they have identified the people who stayed in Room 2207 but have not yet named them.

The videos will reportedly be submitted to the Makati Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday as part of the police complaint.

Wheelchair, no injuries

The hotel guard who helped put Dacera in the wheelchair also gave a sworn statement.

According to the guard, the wheelchair could not have caused any harm to Dacera because it was in good condition.

Earlier, Rosales said that the wound on Dacera’s leg could have been from being transferred to a wheelchair without leg assists.

Makati City – January 1, 2021. A day that was supposed to be the beginning of a new year, but ended up in a mystery that engulfed the entire country: the death of flight attendant Christine Angelica Dacera, 23, inside Room 2209 of a popular hotel in Makati.

The incident quickly went viral — along with photos of the happy celebration were questions, fear, and anger from the public. What really happened at that party? Who were the men with her? And why do some details in the room, especially the bathtub, never seem to be clear?

🚪 ROOM 2209: THE BEGINNING OF THE TRAGEDY

According to police reports, Christine celebrated New Year’s with a few friends — mostly men, including friends in the airline industry and social circle.

According to some witnesses, the night was fun — there was drinking, talking, and laughing. But around dawn, some noticed that Christine seemed to be losing her mind. Some said she was “very drunk,” while others said she was unable to stand and seemed to be choking.

🛁 THE BATHTUB — MYSTERY OR EVIDENCE?

One of the most frightening parts of the story was the discovery of Christine’s body in the bathtub. According to medical findings and initial police reports, she was found unconscious in the bathroom, with bruises on her body, and allegedly had fluid in her lungs.

This is where the public began to ask questions:

Why was she left in the bathtub?

Who was the last person to see her alive?

Did someone hurt her or was it just an accident?

🕵️ PARTY PARTNERS: FRIENDS OR MISCHIEFS?

Eleven men were listed as being with Christine in Room 2209. According to them, nothing untoward happened and Christine was considered their friend. Some of them even helped lift her and watch over her when she lost consciousness.

But for many, that explanation was not enough.

“Why wasn’t she taken to the hospital immediately?”

“If she was a friend, why are there inexplicable marks?”

“Is there CCTV that proves the events?”

🎓WHO WAS CHRISTINE DACERA?

Christine Angelica Dacera was a 23-year-old flight attendant for Philippine Airlines. Bright, charming, and full of life, she had everything ahead of her. But on January 1, 2021, the Philippines woke up to shocking news: Christine was found dead inside Room 2209 of the City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati.

🕛THE NIGHT BEFORE THE TRAGEDY

On the evening of December 31, 2020, Christine was celebrating New Year’s Eve with a group of friends in Room 2207. The group reportedly moved between two hotel rooms—2207 and 2209—drinking, partying, and enjoying the night.

Some of her companions claimed that Christine became intoxicated, vomited, and appeared disoriented. Around dawn, she was brought back to Room 2209—and was never seen alive again.

☠️DISCOVERY OF HER BODY

On the morning of January 1, Christine was found unconscious in the bathtub. She was rushed to the hospital, but declared dead on arrival.

That’s when the rumors, suspicions, and national outrage began.

Was she murdered?

Was she sexually assaulted?

Or was it something else entirely?

🧬AUTOPSY VS. PUBLIC OUTRAGE

The initial autopsy report stated that Christine died of a ruptured aortic aneurysm—a natural medical condition.

But her family refused to believe it. Her mother claimed she had bruises, cuts, and trauma marks on her body, alleging foul play and insisting her daughter was raped and murdered.

🔍CCTV & THE MEN SHE WAS WITH

CCTV footage showed Christine enjoying the night, smiling, drinking, and walking with several men—all of whom were later identified and questioned.

Most of them claimed to be close friends and members of the LGBTQ+ community, insisting they had no romantic or sexual interest in her.

Some of them—like Gregorio de Guzman and JP Dela Serna—were arrested and briefly jailed. But they were later released due to lack of evidence and claimed their lives were destroyed by the accusations.

Bruises on her legs and arms

A scratch on her thigh

💔ONE GIRL, ONE ROOM, ONE MYSTERY

Room 2209 has become a symbol of unanswered questions and injustice. Even with autopsy reports and testimonies, millions still believe something is being hidden.

Social media turned into a courtroom. Her friends tried to clear their names. But for many Filipinos, the pain and doubt remain.

🕯️QUESTIONS THAT STILL HAUNT THE NATION

Was it really an aneurysm?

Was Christine silenced?

Is someone still walking free today?

Will the truth ever come out?
