Sharon remembered that some celebrities just ran past her without even looking at her or even smiling back at her.

“We were old school, we started back then, ‘when there was a senior artist even though we didn’t know each other, we would approach them—’Good afternoon. I’m Sharon, I’m a new singer,” Sharon said.

“Because you’re starstruck too, but it’s about respect,” she added.

Sharon lamented how some stars today forgot how to show respect to those who came before them in the industry.

“There’s something sad—sometimes we used to meet in the [ABS-CBN] corridor. When they passed by, I felt like, ‘Is that boss Gabby’s relative?’ It’s like Lopez acting, even better than the Lopezes. Don (Geny) even greets the janitor,” she added.

Sharon however clarified that she is not expecting anything from these young celebs.

“‘These kids now, you just meet them face to face, it’s like they just passed by a post office. I’m not expecting anything, just a little. ‘It’s like they don’t even say hello, just smile,” she said.

“Sometimes I feel like, ‘Am I a wall? I’ve lost weight, right?’” she quipped. “Because we’re not like that. Do I look like a wall? I have already lost weight, right?” she said.
