In an emotionally charged moment that left fans heartbroken, Sharon Cuneta, the Megastar of Philippine showbiz, couldn’t hold back her tears as she opened up about the growing rift within her family. What began as quiet tension behind closed doors has now escalated into a full-blown family conflict — one that Sharon says has deeply wounded her heart.

An Emotional Breakdown

During a recent appearance at a private event, Sharon was asked about her personal life — particularly her family. For a brief moment, she tried to keep her composure. But then, as the weight of her emotions took over, she wiped away tears and admitted:

“It hurts so much. I never imagined that my family, which has always been my foundation, would go through something like this.”

Her voice trembling, Sharon confessed that the misunderstanding within her family has reached a painful new level, and that no one seems willing to give way.

What Sparked the Rift?

Although Sharon chose not to name names, sources close to the Megastar reveal that long-standing issues among family members have recently resurfaced, triggered by a major disagreement regarding inheritance, public image, and personal boundaries. It is believed that the conflict involves some of her closest relatives, making the situation even more emotionally exhausting.

One insider shared:

“There have been issues in the past, but this time, it feels different. Everyone’s pride is involved, and Sharon is stuck in the middle.”

Public Pressure and Private Pain

Being in the limelight has made things worse. Sharon admitted that being under public scrutiny makes it harder to deal with private problems. While fans continue to show love and admiration for her, she’s struggling with a battle that fame cannot fix.

“People think I’m strong because I’ve been in showbiz for so long, but I’m still human. When your own family starts to drift apart, that kind of pain is unlike anything else,” she said tearfully.

A Plea for Peace

Despite the pain, Sharon made it clear she still holds hope that things can be mended. In a heartfelt message, she pleaded for unity:

“We’re not perfect. But I hope and pray we remember that we are family. No fame, money, or success can replace the bond that blood gives us. I just want peace.”

Her words resonated with fans across the country, many of whom took to social media to express their sympathy and support.

Celebrities Rally Around Sharon

Several celebrities, including long-time friends of Sharon, have reached out publicly. Regine Velasquez, Judy Ann Santos, and even Vilma Santos posted messages of encouragement on social media:

“Stay strong, Mega. We love you,” Regine wrote on Instagram.
“You’ve always been the heart of your family. Don’t give up,” Judy Ann added.

Moving Forward

It remains to be seen whether this family feud can be healed in the weeks to come. For now, Sharon continues to focus on her work, while quietly holding onto the hope that love and understanding will prevail.

“I’m choosing love, even when I feel hurt,” she ended, with tears once again welling in her eyes.

Sharon Cuneta has finally spoken out and apologized to the Pangilinan family for their issue with their daughter KC Concepcion.

The issue started when Sharon’s eldest daughter unfollowed her husband Kiko Pangilinan and also her son Frankie Pangilinan.

Mega apologized to Kiko and his family because the issue became public when KC unfollowed her on Instagram.

Sharon first clarified that she’s a mother first before a wife because a husband can be replaced but not a child. She also clarified that she has no favoritism among her four children. “I don’t play favorites. Some people seem to think Frankie is my favorite daughter, no. I love all my children equally. It’s just that, that’s how we are. Who is always with me, always by my side, you just get along better with someone. And among all my children, Frankie is my style,” Sharon reasoned. Sharon said that it was KC’s choice to be solo all along. But she is always welcome to come back to their house anytime.

“Our house, our home has always included her,” she said.

Regarding KC’s unfollowing of Kiko and Frankie, she was hurt by what her eldest did and what happened, according to Sharon.

“But we are family. This is a family matter,” she added.

Regarding the closeness between KC and her biological father Gabby, Sharon said she is happy about it.

“It makes me happy because they lost so many years together. But I have to remind the whole world, all of you, that since Gabby and I separated, there was never, not once, not even a time that she couldn’t go see her child. I never prevented them seeing each other,” the Megastar explained.

Mega also emphasized that she loves KC very much and will fight for her if she kills the girl and her other children with Kiko.

Sharon apologized to Kiko because she was still involved when the unfollow issue arose. She said it was just a small problem between their family and it was only exacerbated because of social media.

Sharon hopes that they can also fix the misunderstanding because they are family.

Regarding KC’s participation in Dear Heart which will be held on October 27, 2023 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Sharon is said to have no idea about it yet.

KC is the result of Sharon and Gabby’s love affair. Kiko became Sharon’s second husband and she had three children with him: Frankie, Miel, and Miguel.
