Veteran actress and singer Sharon Cuneta is fuming with anger after a netizen spread a false claim online that her longtime friend and stylist Fanny Serrano had passed away.

The Megastar, known not only for her decades-long career but also for her deep loyalty to those she considers family, took to social media to denounce the post and express her outrage over the irresponsible rumor.

In a fiery Instagram story and a subsequent Facebook post, Sharon called out the netizen for posting such a “disrespectful and heartless” lie, especially while Fanny continues to fight his own health battles.

“How dare you post something like that?! Do you know how many people panicked and cried over your lies?”
Sharon wrote angrily. “You are cruel. Tita Fanny is still with us, and you have no right to make people think otherwise.”

Fans of the iconic actress immediately rallied behind her, flooding the comments section with support and equally criticizing the netizen for spreading false information.

Another wrote:

This isn’t the first time Sharon has publicly defended Fanny Serrano, whom she affectionately calls “TF”. In 2021, when Fanny suffered a massive stroke, Sharon was one of the first to ask for prayers and updates from the public. She has since continued to stand by him during his recovery journey.

“Thank you for wiping so many tears quietly as they poured from my eyes on so very many occasions over all these three decades,” she added.

“I find peace in that I kept my promise to you. I know you have gone straight to heaven, and I pray that I see and laugh with you again there someday…I love you so very much,” concluded the megastar. It should be noted that on March 21, Sharon also shared that Fanny, who is Felix Mariano Faustino Jr. in real life, had a massive stroke.

In September 2016, she first suffered a stroke but miraculously recovered, according to her account.
