Kapuso actress Carla Abellana has questioned her father PJ Abellana for his interview saying that Tom Rodriguez has a one night stand.

Carla and Tom have yet to address the issue of their marriage.

PJ told Cristy Fermin that there was no third-party involved in the relationship between Carla and Tom but the actor reportedly had a one-time sexual affair.

“At first, may nakarating po at nalaman ni Carla na may issue na one-night stand na involved si Tom,” PJ said in an interview with GMA News.

“Tom was already able to explain to Carla that there was no truth to it and he also avoided it from happening. So, there was no one-night stand according to Tom’s side,” he added.

PJ said that he was not able to explain the details well to Cristy during the interview.

“So that’s the scenario of the one-night stand issue. It was just a shortcut. I just told my mother Cristy abruptly and then she thought badly,” he said.

PJ admitted that Carla called him after his interview.

She was mad, she was questioning me why I came up that way. Of course, I explained it to her right away, and after my explanation, explaining my side, she never messaged again,” he said.

PJ added that Tom approached him and sincerely asked for his help to get Carla back.

“When he came over to talk to me and explain his side, he would cry along his explanations and everything, and he keeps on saying that he wants his wife back. He wants Carla back because she loves Carla very much that’s why they settled down,” PJ said.

Carla Abellana’s dad Rey “PJ” Abellana has spoken up about the issue involving the marriage of his daughter and Tom Rodriguez.

In an interview with Cristy Fermin, PJ answered the questions that have long been sitting in the minds of fans: What really happened between then-newlyweds Carla and Tom?

PJ admitted it came as a shock to him when he found out about the news that his daughter and son-in-law’s relationship was supposedly on the rocks.

“I’m a parent, of course it came as a shock to me. I immediately messaged my daughter Carla, I tried to find out why it had come to me,” PJ said.

“[I said] there is an issue going on between you and your spouse. I want to find out, I said, ‘If it’s just a showbiz issue, is there any substance to it or not,’” he added.

PJ went on to share that he knew right away the rumors were true because Carla did not respond to his message.

“When I first messaged my son, he didn’t reply right away. You know, it was only then that my son Carla didn’t reply right away that I realized there was something wrong with them,” he said.

But it didn’t take too long for Carla to respond to him, admitting things aren’t okay between them.

“After a few days, Carla replied to me. This is what my son said to me, ‘Tom and I are not okay. Anyway dad, we would [like] people to give us the respect,’” he shared.

But PJ said he still has no idea about the real issue between them, although he revealed Carla asked him not to address the public at that time.

Then again, he made it clear that Tom and Carla have not yet called it quits.

“I’m not saying that my son is divorced from their marriage. I’m not saying that they’re divorced. My point here is that whatever problems they have in their marriage, they’re settling them on their own to fix it. They’re not in a marriage just to get divorced,” he said. But PJ dropped a bombshell when he revealed Tom committed “infidelity,” with Tom admitting this to him. At this point, he still hasn’t heard Carla’s side.

“Honestly speaking, we can’t consider that a third party. Because it was a one-night stand. So we can’t consider that a third party,” he said.

Coming to Tom’s defense, he said: “I admit that as a man. I’m way back, that happens to me too. That’s pretty normal in the lives of men. So I understand that.”

Addressing gay rumors thrown against Tom, he said: “I don’t think so. I don’t see it and I don’t believe it.”
