Monica considers the highlight of her movie career to be when she starred alongside the late King of Philippine Movies Fernando Poe Jr. in two movies—Ako ang Huhusga (1989) and Hindi Ka Na Sisikatan ng Araw (1990), sequels to Kapag Puno Na Ang Salop (1987). Monica was one of the controversial actresses of the time. But she usually didn’t act on intrigues, especially if there was no truth because her faith in God was more dominant.

She said, “I guess it’s all about faith. It’s better to be quiet and let it pass.

“But just like any movie star, my life wasn’t private because there was also talk about me having a child with Jeric.

“But when I quit showbiz, it stopped.

“But if someone is trying to intrigue me with my present condition, are they human?

“And remember, it’s fashionable to sue now.”

She also mentioned, “I have another son Marlon Jesse from my ex-husband in Australia.
