In a controversy that’s quickly igniting online buzz, a new issue has emerged following the passing of Philippine cinema’s beloved Superstar, Nora Aunor — and this time, it’s all about her abandoned vehicle.

According to multiple sources, a car reportedly left behind by Nora has now become the center of a brewing family dispute. The shocking twist? Ian de Leon, one of Nora’s children, is said to have taken possession of the vehicle — without the full knowledge or agreement of the other siblings.

Family insiders claim that Lotlot de Leon and Matet de Leon were blindsided by Ian’s actions. “They were stunned… It all happened so fast,” said one relative who requested anonymity. “There was no proper talk. Suddenly, the car was just… gone.”

Lotlot de Leon wants the feud between younger brother Matet de Leon and mother Nora Aunor to end.

Matet recently filed a complaint against Nora because her own mother allegedly competed with her gourmet tuyo business.

Matet’s words were heavy, saying that he no longer sees himself reconciling with his adoptive mother. Lotlot was interviewed by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the mediacon of the movie That Boy In The Dark, which was held at the penthouse of West Avenue Suites on December 30, 2022.

When asked what his thoughts were on the fight between Matet and Nora, Lotlot replied: “You know when it comes to that, there’s no winner, no loser.

“I guess, it’s just a matter of looking at the bigger picture, there’s a reason for everything. I guess, that’s how I want to look at it.

“I hope that eventually things will be okay. That’s how they should be.”

It seems that Lotlot also doesn’t want to intervene while the emotions of those involved in the issue are still high.

But he defended Matet, who was frank in saying that he felt “spoiled” by his mother who “didn’t really treat me like a child.”

Lotlot said: “Get involved? No, you can’t tell people like that, right?

“It’s just like that, I don’t have a sibling with a bad attitude. All my siblings, whether Ian, Matet, Kiko or Ken, all of them have very good hearts.

“Mommy taught them to have a good heart. Whatever good we have in us, it was taught to us also and we saw it from our parents.

“My siblings, they are all good people, they are all willing to sacrifice for love.” Ian, he eats his pride just to show you that he loves you.

Matet, even if he cleans the bathroom just to make you feel that he loves you.

“Kiko, it’s the same thing, if you need him to do something, even if all he can do is offer to listen to what you have to say, he will listen.

“Kenneth is the type that when you order something, nothing will be refused, it’s all yes, yes, yes. That’s how my siblings are.

“Although we have different personalities, we all love each other the same way.”

Lotlot reiterated that his only wish is for his brother Matet and mother Nora to reconcile.

“As I said earlier, there are no winners when it comes to family matters, especially when words are said, maybe out of pain or you just want to release grievances or resentment.

“No matter who you are, it happens to all of us.”

For now, Lotlot is giving his younger brother space, especially since it’s noticeable that Matet is still getting carried away by too much emotion.

“Yes, I mean, everything in the end, I think everything happens for a reason. We are Mommy’s children, we all know our place in her, in her heart.

“Sometimes, if there are words that are said, maybe it’s because of whatever pain or miscommunication. Maybe the things that are hidden are not the things that are said.

“But at the end of the day, there is nothing that cannot be fixed.”

When asked if he has talked to Nora and Matet, Lotlot said that his communication with them is open.

“Yes, he [Matet] is quiet. He texted me ‘Merry Christmas,’ I also wished him Merry Christmas.

“You know, that’s a process, eh. I can’t tell Matet how he should feel. We are all welcome.”

Lotlot’s calmness and breadth of understanding of the incident with his mother and younger brother are remarkable.

He explained: “It is what it is. I understand because it has happened to me several times.

“But like I said, at the end of the day, we are still family, we are still us.”
