One of the emotional scenes on the last night of Ricky Davao’s funeral was the warm embrace of Jackie Lou Blanco and Mayeth Malca Darroca.

This took place at the Heritage Park Chapels in Taguig City, last night, May 6, 2025.

Malca is Ricky’s non-showbiz partner. They have been in a relationship since 2022.

Jackie Lou was the final one to give the eulogy, and she didn’t miss the opportunity to thank Malca.

“I want to thank you, Malca, Ricky’s girlfriend, for taking such good care of Ricky,” said Jackie Lou.

At this point, Malca came forward and hugged Jackie Lou, and the actress also returned the hug with a tight hug.

They even comforted each other.

Jackie Lou also said to Malca: “I want to thank you so much. Thank you from my family to yours.

Jackie Lou said: “Of course we were all there because Ricky was in the hospital.

“Ricky’s doctor said to me, ‘Ma’am, can I talk to you?’ ‘What’s the problem, Doc?’

“Because I said, Ricky is in the ICU. Is there any more problem? Will there be more?

“He said, ‘I want to know how I will address you.’ And then he has this puzzled look on his face, as in really what to do.”

The doctor was confused about which of Malca and Cheryl to approach.

“‘Eh, is it you?’

“I said, ‘Well, I’m the wife…’

“‘Who’s the one in red?’ I think it was Malca.

“‘Ah, that’s Ricky’s partner.’

“‘Eh, the other one?’”

Jackie Lou bowed her head to hold back her laughter as the guests in the chapel laughed again.

“That’s the mother of Ricky’s youngest,” Jackie Lou said, referring to Cheryl.

Ricky has a daughter, a virgin, with Cheryl.

Jackie Lou and Ricky have three children, Kenneth, Rikki Mae, and Ara.

The doctor couldn’t help but ask, “Are you all okay?”

The guests laughed again.

But I’d like to say that the reason why we are all okay is because of the kind of man and person that Ricky was.”

Toward the end of Jackie Lou’s speech, she read a farewell message for Ricky.

She looked at the urn as she read it.

“Though our time together, Ricky, changed shape over the years, I will always honor the good we shared and the family that we built.

“Your presence will be missed in the everyday moments, the family gatherings that you always made laugh, the quiet ways you showed how you cared.

“I’m thankful for the life you helped shape, for the father and grandfather you were, and the memories that will live on in our children and grandchildren.

“Ricky, rest well knowing how deeply loved you are by all of us.”

Ricky passed away at the age of 63 on May 1, 2024.

This was after a five-month battle with cancer.

Ricky was finally able to return home after a long confinement in the hospital.

Ricky was surrounded by all his loved ones when he passed away.
