The world of Philippine showbiz was rocked after singer-songwriter and TV host Ogie Alcasid dropped a bombshell revelation involving two of “It’s Showtime’s” most beloved stars—Kim Chiu and Ryan Bang.

Known for their close friendship and on-screen chemistry, Kim and Ryan have long been favorites among fans. But according to Ogie, things weren’t always as smooth behind the scenes.

“They had a real fight!” Ogie Alcasid reveals

In a recent online interview, Ogie shared a never-before-heard story about a tense moment between Kim and Ryan that allegedly happened backstage.

“They really fought,” Ogie confessed, surprising even his co-hosts. “It wasn’t just banter. There was real tension at that time.”

Though he didn’t go into extreme detail, Ogie hinted that the clash stemmed from a misunderstanding during one of their live tapings. Apparently, what began as a joke hit a nerve, leading to an off-cam confrontation that shocked everyone in the studio.

From Awkward Silence to Cold Shoulders

Insiders say that after the incident, Kim and Ryan didn’t speak to each other for days. Those working on set reportedly noticed the cold atmosphere, with the two avoiding eye contact and limiting their interaction.

“It was very uncomfortable for a while,” said a source close to the show. “People were walking on eggshells.”

A Turning Point—and Reconciliation

But the tension didn’t last forever.

Ogie said it was Vice Ganda who stepped in and helped mediate between Kim and Ryan, encouraging both to talk things out. Eventually, Kim and Ryan sat down and cleared the air.

“It was just a misunderstanding that blew up,” Ogie added. “They talked, they apologized, and they became even closer afterward.”

The experience, according to Ogie, actually strengthened their friendship.

Fans React: “We Had No Idea!”

As the story spread online, fans were shocked by the revelation:

“Grabe! I always thought they were perfectly in sync on Showtime,” one netizen commented.
“Props to Ogie for being real. And to Kim and Ryan—for patching things up like mature professionals,” another said.

Behind the Laughs—Real Emotions

This revelation proves that even the most cheerful duos on television go through rough patches. It also shows the power of communication, humility, and genuine friendship in the high-pressure world of live entertainment.

Today, Kim Chiu and Ryan Bang continue to make fans laugh and smile with their signature chemistry—reminding everyone that even strong friendships can face storms, but real ones always find their way back.

Ogie feels sorry for Kim’s serious accident
Ogie Alcasid and his ATeam are the producers of the Streetboys’ reunion dance concert, their ‘SB90s The Streetboys Reunion Dance Concert’ at the New Frontier Theater on November 8.

Of course, Ogie appeared at the Streetboys press conference.

Ogie was a bit late because he was still from their rehearsal.

Kim Chiu was with Ogie at the rehearsal, which is why someone asked him how Paulo Avelino’s rumored-girlfriend was.

During one of their rehearsals for their ‘Magpasikat’ production number for the 15th anniversary of ‘It’s Showtime’, Kim had an accident and was taken to the hospital.

Ogie said, “She’s rehearsing again. I’m so happy for Kim. But she’s okay.”

And when Kim had the accident, Ogie insisted that she get a CT scan test.

“I told him he needed to get a CT scan. I insisted so he did,” Ogie said.

Ogie also said that Kim’s wound is fine.

They should be on the lookout for their appearance on the ‘Magpasikat’ anniversary segment of ‘It’s Showtime’ on Tuesday.
