Actress-politician Aiko Melendez publicly called out a young actor with the initials JP for being arrogant.

This immediately sparked various speculations about who Aiko Melendez was referring to.

According to Aik Melendez’s Facebook post, the actor is said to be very arrogant even though nothing has been proven yet. She even advised him to take a seminar first.

Because he is said to lack respect and good manners. Because a star has an attitude.

Although Aiko Melendez only said JP, many suspected that she was referring to none other than Jerome Ponce.

Her followers do not know the reason why Aiko Melendez said this. She also did not clarify in her post whether she personally experienced Jerome Ponce’s rudeness.

Jerome Ponce 'sorry' over 'misunderstanding' with Aiko Melendez

Meanwhile, some say that maybe her son Andrie Yllana experienced this from what she said JP and Aiko immediately came to the rescue.

Andrie Yllana and Jerome Ponce are together in the same digital series Skies Archer where Jerome Ponce stars in the said series.

Because of this, netizens seem to have confirmed that Jerome Ponce is really what Aiko Melendez is referring to

“I’M SORRY if that’s how she felt.”

Thus said Jerome Ponce when asked about Aiko Melendez’s Facebook post in which she criticized an actor with the initials “JP.”

Aiko’s now-deleted blind item last month read:

“My God, JP … don’t be too arrogant. You haven’t proven anything in the industry to be arrogant. Lord, teach this teenager to learn to get along. You’re not a hero, you’re an attitude. Very wrong! Go to a seminar first so you can be nice.”

The actress took down the post eventually but not before show biz observers connected the dots and deduced that there was a good chance that the “JP” she was referring to was Jerome Ponce. After all, Jerome and Aiko’s son, Andrei Yllana, are both part of the upcoming Viva One series, “Safe Skies, Archer.”

At a recent press conference for the show, Jerome surmised that it was probably a case of misunderstanding.

“Maybe my attitude is really bad… Or maybe I’m antipathetic,” he quipped in a rather self-deprecating manner. But turning serious, he stressed he has no beef with anyone. “I don’t have a problem with anyone. I guess it’s just a misunderstanding.”

The actor added: “Perhaps I can come across as a snob at first, but you know me… I mean you guys can approach me”.

Nevertheless, Jerome is still apologetic. “Wherever it came from, I’m sorry… Miss Aiko knows people who know me,” he said, adding that all is well between him and Andre.

“We are OK. I was just surprised where that came from. I think it was just first impression,
