Mary Ann Nulos, mother of actor Onyok Pineda has denied rumours that her son’s character in “Ang Probinsyano” was written off due to a fall out between her and the show’s crew.

As reported on ABS-CBN, Nulos, who spoke to the media about Pineda’s departure from the long-running show, said that she and her son decided to leave the show so that they can let him focus on his studies.

“We decided to let him rest first. He has to go to a regular school, so he could focus on his studies,” she said.

Nulos also stressed that her son left “Ang Probinsyano” on good terms, and that they even said their goodbyes to the producers and to lead actor, Coco Martin.

She also expressed her gratitude to the show for giving her son the chance to shine, as it has also enabled Pineda to do other projects and make some money.
