MANILA – After facing intense controversy regarding her love life, Carla Abellana has opened up about what she has been through this year.

In a vlog released by Luis Manzano on Tuesday, Abellana partially broke her silence amid the news about the outcome of her relationship with actor Tom Rodriguez.

Although she did not reveal her name, Manzano asked the actress if she still believes in love despite what has happened in her life.

“Yes, of course. Without love, we would have no life honestly. That’s why we are on Earth because God loves us. There’s your family love, the love of my dogs, the love of your friends,” Abellana said.

“So, love definitely oo naman. Love is all around. It definitely exists.”

The actress also said that she has come to accept the fact that not all times a person’s plans will go according to their life.

“We may make plans or we see everything. We are here in the world, we make plans, we take care of everything. But sometimes life just hits you where you don’t really know what’s going to happen tomorrow. It’s like what you have is just today,” he explains.

“No matter how everything is organized or laid out, there are times when life is really unpredictable. As much as you plan or perfect your life, there are times when you’ll get caught off guard.”

Through everything she has been through, she has learned that no one else can help her but herself, even with a good support system. “There are times when you really have only yourself to help you. I’m not saying that we’re all alone but there are times when you can only depend on yourself or that you’re the only one who can help you.
