In a stunning turn of events that has captured the attention of fans and insiders alike, Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy, the renowned choreographer and long-time mentor of pop superstar Sarah Geronimo, has finally broken her silence regarding their rumored falling-out.

After months of speculation, cryptic messages, and awkward public encounters, Teacher Georcelle spoke candidly in an exclusive interview about what really happened between her and the Popstar Royalty—unveiling a deeply emotional story of loyalty, hurt, and personal growth.

A Partnership Built on Trust and Talent

For nearly two decades, Teacher Georcelle and Sarah Geronimo were inseparable in the world of music and dance. As the founder of G-Force, one of the Philippines’ most prominent dance groups, Georcelle helped shape Sarah’s evolution from a shy young star to a commanding stage performer.

“I’ve seen her grow from a girl with incredible voice into a woman with unstoppable presence,” Georcelle said. “We’ve spent years together—not just as artist and choreographer—but like family.”

But Then… Something Changed

Rumors of a rift between the two began circulating last year when fans noticed Sarah was no longer performing with G-Force dancers, and that Georcelle was noticeably absent from major concerts and appearances. Whispers turned into questions, and questions eventually turned into online speculation.

In her statement, Teacher Georcelle confirmed what many suspected:

“Yes, there was a misunderstanding,” she admitted. “It was painful, especially because it wasn’t just professional—it was personal.”

While she refused to go into specific details, she hinted at creative differences and unspoken expectations.

“Sometimes in a long partnership, you grow apart—not because of hate, but because your paths are no longer aligned. And that’s what happened. We both wanted different things.”

Respect, Despite the Rift

Despite the emotional toll, Teacher Georcelle emphasized that she harbors no bitterness toward Sarah.

“I will never discredit her talent. Sarah is one of the greatest artists this country has ever produced,” she said. “And I’ll always be proud that I was part of her journey.”

She also clarified that no one incident led to the falling-out, but rather a culmination of changes, both professional and personal.

Sarah Geronimo’s Side Remains Quiet—for Now

As of this writing, Sarah Geronimo has not publicly responded to Teacher Georcelle’s revelations. While her camp has maintained silence, insiders say the singer has chosen to “stay quiet out of respect” and “focus on her current projects and personal growth.”

Netizens Divided but Sympathetic

Online reactions to the interview have been mixed. While many expressed support for both women, others voiced sadness over the end of what was once considered one of the strongest collaborations in the local entertainment scene.

“It’s heartbreaking. You could see how much love they had for each other,” one fan tweeted.
“They were magic together. But maybe it’s time for both of them to grow, even if it means growing apart,” said another.

Moving Forward

As for what’s next, Teacher Georcelle remains focused on mentoring the next generation of dancers and elevating Filipino talent to the global stage.

“It hurts, yes. But life moves on. I carry the good memories with me, and I wish Sarah nothing but love and light.”

Final Thoughts

In an industry often filled with silence and cover-ups, Teacher Georcelle’s honesty offers a rare glimpse into the realities of fame, friendship, and creative partnership. Her words were not meant to stir drama—but to find closure

Teacher Georcelle reveals reason why G-Force was absent from Sarah G’s concert
Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy, founder of the popular dance group “G-Force,” has broken her silence regarding the issue of the alleged fight between her and Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, which led to their absence from her 20th anniversary concert last Friday, May 12, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Fortunately, seasoned showbiz insider Ogie Diaz got Teacher Georcelle’s side and asked if it’s true that she and Sarah are not on good terms, and if the rumor that she sent a demand letter to Viva, Sarah’s talent agency, demanding ₱150k for every song that uses their choreography is also true.

Something that the founder of G-Force denied. He said it is not true that he sent a demand letter addressed to Bossing Vic Del Rosario of Viva to demand royalties for their choreography, especially the super hit “Tala.”

Based on Teacher Georcelle’s statements, “artistic differences” and “artistic freedom” were the reasons why they were not part of Sarah’s anniversary concert even though they were part of 20 years of Popstar Royalty in the industry. We’ve been training her and G-Force have been dancing with her for 16 years. She’s looking for growth as an artist and as a person. She wants to try other things. There were artistic differences and I wanna support her as she embarks on this new chapter even if it means stepping out for a while.”

“Mama Ogs, I did everything out of love and respect for her as an artist and a friend. We were like a love team for 16 years, but this year she wanted to try other things. This process was painful for G-Force. Most of them cried, especially the choreographers who have been training hard to bring out the best in her. It’s like a break up.”SG wants something else, I want her to exercise that artistic freedom. But it’s also my right to exercise my artistic freedom. I had to pull out two months ago in March. Of course my team will always understand and respect my decision. This is me encouraging SG to experience that creative freedom and to be the ultimate decision maker in producing and directing her 20th anniversary concert.”

As for the alleged demand letter and his charge for the dance steps, “”Mama Ogs, OMG. Demand? Why will I demand? I am not in a position to demand for anything especially when no work is delivered but I can quote for the price of the use of my copyrighted works.”

“I sent a personal letter, not a demand letter. I did not demand. “Not being a part of her 20th is my gift of freedom so she can fully express her creative dreams.”

The dance choreographer also said that they exchanged messages with Sarah on the very day of the concert.

“Our relationship should be okay and not be affected by public opinion,” said Teacher Georcelle.

Also among those Sarah mentioned and thanked in her speech were Teacher Georcelle and the G-Force.
