Enrique Gil Deletes “I Love You” Comment After Liza Soberano Confirms Split

After the split had been confirmed, Enrique Gil deleted this comment.

In a podcast documentary, Liza Soberano officially confirmed the breakup with Enrique Gil, and the actor did this after.

“I’ve been itching to tell people this because I haven’t been very truthful. Quen hasn’t been very truthful. Quen and I broke up. But yeah, we’ve been broken up for almost three years now. And the reason, well, originally the reason why we haven’t said anything about it is because Enrique or Quen asked me not to say anything about it first.”

This is what Liza Soberano said as she revealed the split with Enrique Gil, which happened almost three years ago already. She added that it was a beautiful breakup, and at that time, she still loved him. She could only recall good memories when she looked back at their time together.

Initially, they agreed not to announce it to the public. She feared that it might trigger her career to go badly, but more than this, they did not want it to be real. However, to finally put an end to the speculations and confusion, she made it official, and while many were saddened, many were also relieved to hear the truth from her.

Shortly after confirming their split, Gil deleted his “I love you” comment on one of her posts, which was noticed by eagle-eyed netizens.

In the same video, Liza revealed that what they’ve had bloomed organically, and not manufactured because of their love team. According to her, even before they became a love team, there was already something going on between them.

Meanwhile, as LizQuen, they headlined the romantic movie “Just the Way You Are,” which earned over ₱100 million at the local box office. They also did “Everyday I Love You,” the film that gave them the Most Popular Love Team of Movies and TV award at the 47th GMMSF Box-Office Entertainment Awards.

They also starred in the 2017 blockbuster “My Ex and Whys” and the 2019 film “Alone/Together,” where they were able to show their more mature side as a pairing.
