Sam Milby
Back in 2007, Sam Milby’s sexuality was a hot topic when talk show host and entertainment columnist Lolit Solis claimed to have seen him holding hands with Piolo Pascual and rumored they were dating. Photos of the two holding hands also circulated online.
However, both Sam and Piolo firmly denied the issue. Currently, Sam is in a relationship with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, while Piolo has said in a recent interview with Toni Gonzaga that he has been single for 13 years.

Piolo Pascual
Despite his long-time career, rumors questioning Piolo Pascual’s sexuality have never really died down. Some die-hard female fans say they don’t care about his orientation — they still love him. He has been linked to fellow celebrities like Mark Bautista, Sam Milby, and even Yul Servo.
Piolo said he isn’t affected by people calling him gay. According to him, he has nothing to hide and repeatedly insists that he is not gay. He has had relationships with Pops Fernandez in 2003 and KC Concepcion from 2010 to 2011. He has also been linked to Mark Bautista (2011), Sam Milby (2007 and 2005), and Yul Servo (2006). He was also rumored to have dated Rica Peralejo.

Alden Richards
In 2015, a photo of Alden Richards with fellow Kapuso actor Derrick Monasterio went viral. In the picture, it appeared as if Derrick was touching Alden inappropriately. Alden brushed off the rumors, saying he’s used to being called gay and doesn’t pay much attention to it. Derrick explained that the photo was old and that Alden’s phone was being used at the time.
But netizens became even more suspicious when two more photos of Alden with another man surfaced online. Until now, Alden remains single, although he was rumored to have dated Kathryn Bernardo, Sam Pinto (2011), Julie Anne San Jose (2013), and Winwyn Marquez (2019).

Enchong Dee
Kapamilya actor and model Enchong Dee was also caught in bisexuality rumors after a photo of him smiling and gazing at Piolo Pascual during a fun run went viral. The event, held on November 28, 2015, was organized by an insurance company Piolo endorsed. The photo quickly circulated on social media and was interpreted by many as flirtatious.
Enchong acknowledged that people assumed he was gay just from that image. Even Vice Ganda admitted that his first impression of Enchong was that he was gay. Enchong explained that he and friends Raver Cruz and Gerald Anderson were just caught in a candid photo while Piolo was speaking with them.

Erik Santos
There has long been speculation that Erik Santos, known as the “King of Pinoy Teleserye Theme Songs,” is gay. However, he denied this, especially after courting Angeline Quinto in 2016.
In 2017, Erik and his manager Erickson Raymundo filed a libel case against radio host and talent manager Jobert Sucaldito for posting a series of accusations on Facebook and on his radio show alleging that Erik was gay. The complaint said these accusations not only damaged Erik’s name but also affected Cornerstone Entertainment and his manager. Jobert later deleted his Facebook post.

Martin del Rosario
There were also trending rumors that Martin del Rosario was dating his friend, model Zurrer Bautista. Martin described it as the worst controversy he had ever experienced. A photo of them together went viral, but Martin claimed the image had been edited. He said that being linked to gay roles hasn’t changed his stance on his own sexuality.
He has played gay roles in films but firmly maintains that he is a straight man.

Now, let’s move on to the actors who have openly come out as gay:

Rustom Padilla / BB Gandanghari
Rustom Padilla was a famous 90s matinee idol known for his looks and action films like Mistah (1994), which he starred in with his brother Robin Padilla. He also had a relationship with actress Carmina Villaroel in 1992, and they married in 1994. They separated in 1997, and the marriage was annulled in 2002.
Rustom said he first fell in love with a man in 2001. He officially came out during Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition in 2006 in a heartfelt confession to housemate Keana Reeves. In 2016, a U.S. court legally recognized Rustom as a woman under the name BB Gandanghari.

Mark Bautista
In January 2018, Mark Bautista came out as bisexual through his memoir Beyond the Mark, which made headlines for its revelations. Mark said he had no regrets about coming out and believed it was the right thing to do. However, he admitted that many things changed in his personal life and career after coming out — including friends in showbiz who distanced themselves.

Paolo Ballesteros
In August 2019, Paolo Ballesteros confirmed that he is part of the LGBTQ+ community. He explained that he felt no need to clarify his sexuality — what people saw in him was who he really was. He didn’t want to make being gay into an issue.
He admitted it’s become difficult for him to play straight male characters and that he now enjoys and feels more excited when playing female roles. Paolo began showing his makeup transformation skills in 2013, impersonating famous celebrities.

Prince Stefan
StarStruck 4 First Prince winner Prince Stefan had long admitted that he is bisexual. In 2016, rumors spread that he was dating a gay man named Paolo Amores. Photos of them working out, dining, and traveling together circulated online.
Later, Prince confirmed the relationship. He admitted that coming out affected his showbiz career — his TV projects declined, and eventually, he lost work altogether. This led to severe depression. Despite the tough times, Prince said his life is now much better, and he is proud to be helping fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community.
