Vlogger and actress Alex Gonzaga is emotional after suffering a miscarriage for the third time with what would have been their first baby with her husband Mikey Morada. Watch and listen to the full  details.

It has been a truly painful experience for actress and vlogger Alex Gonzaga, as she had a miscarriage once again—her third—just before entering 2025. This deeply saddened her to the point that it felt like her whole world had collapsed.

It was her husband, Mikey Morada, who confirmed the heartbreaking news during an interview with Tony Gonzaga on her YouTube channel Tony Talks. According to Mikey, Alex experienced another miscarriage in December 2024. This came after she previously suffered two miscarriages since they got married in 2020.

Mikey shared,

“When we found out she was pregnant for the third time, we immediately went for a checkup and everything seemed okay. We decided to be extra careful this time. By the second week, the ultrasound looked good. To be honest, when Catherine [Alex’s real name] and I found out she was pregnant, we weren’t expecting it. We didn’t plan for it—we were actually considering preparing her body for IVF. But we still wanted to try naturally.”

Mikey added that Alex’s pregnancy didn’t even last a month.

“By the third week, the doctor told us again, ‘There’s no embryo.’ It was another blighted ovum.”

According to a health website, a blighted ovum occurs when a fertilized egg implants in the uterus but does not develop into an embryo.

The couple then sought a second opinion from another doctor, where they discovered that the baby had a weak heartbeat.

Mikey recalled,

“When we went in for that ultrasound, there was a baby inside. I cried when I heard the heartbeat. It was my first time hearing a heartbeat—on the third try.”

He added,

“But we found out that the heartbeat was low, only 65 bpm. That same day, we went to the hospital and tried to save the baby. But by the next consultation, the heartbeat was gone.”

Mikey said he saw how Alex tried to stay strong, but when they got home that night, she broke down.

Still, Mikey admitted,

“At the end of the day, whether or not we are blessed with a child, I will continue to love and choose Alex for the rest of my life—because I love her very much.”

Well, maybe this just isn’t the right time for them yet. But as long as they keep praying and don’t lose hope, anything is possible.
