Alias Totoy, the whistleblower in the case of the missing cockfighting bettors, once again faced the public to reveal new information that could change the course of the investigation.
In his latest statement, he claimed that he would name 15 police officers in his official sworn testimony, which he plans to submit to the authorities.
These police officers are allegedly directly involved in the mysterious disappearance of several cockfighting bettors in recent years. According to Alias Totoy, he has already completed his sworn affidavit. He is scheduled to submit it this Monday to the National Police Commission (Napolcom), along with formal complaints against the implicated officers.
He admitted that telling the truth is not easy. But he believes it is necessary to bring justice to the families of the missing. He pointed out a large-scale conspiracy involving some police officers and powerful individuals with vested interests in the cockfighting industry. Although he did not name these people in front of the media, he confirmed they are included in the details of his testimony.
He also said that the information he holds is highly sensitive, and each detail is backed by documents and evidence. In a media interview, Totoy stated that he is under the custody of the authorities for his own protection. Security measures around him are tight to ensure his safety while he pursues full disclosure of the truth.
He confessed to carrying the burden of his conscience for a long time because of what he knew. Only now has he found the courage to come forward. Totoy added that the issue surrounding the cockfighting bettors is not just a case of simple disappearance. He said there are signs that these people were deliberately made to disappear, and that there is a systematic operation behind the incidents.
He also revealed that some members of law enforcement are profiting from the operation. As investigations continue, Totoy insisted he is willing to testify in court if needed. He is asking for protection not only for himself but also for his family.
He hopes that by speaking out, the long-standing mystery of the missing cockfighting bettors will finally be clarified and that justice will be served to their grieving loved ones. Meanwhile, some Napolcom officials issued a preliminary statement saying they are ready to receive the documents that Totoy will submit.
They also expressed openness to a wider investigation should Totoy’s allegations be found credible. Despite the sensitivity of the case, officials promised that the process would be fair and that no one would be pre-judged without clear evidence.
In the midst of all this, the police force remains silent. Some of the names mentioned in initial reports have yet to be officially confirmed. For now, the country awaits what steps Alias Totoy will take this week—a move that could expose even greater truths behind the long-unsolved disappearances.
April 18, around 5:45 PM. Then at around 7:30 PM that same day, I saw that the money in his account was being emptied. His account was being wiped out. He even wrote details about the withdrawal. It was written. Is John Ver Francisco… what is he? He’s a gold agent. A gold agent in online cockfighting. A board agent. Gold level. Yes. And that time, I was already looking for him, but he didn’t come home that night.
On April 19, I told his mother that he hadn’t come home. She asked him about it and he just said he was handling something. He sent a picture of himself saying he was just taking care of something. Then on April 20, a vendor informed me that he had been abducted on April 18, around 5:45 to 6:00 PM in Shelbanga, Meycauayan, Bulacan. I went and reported it right away to Meycauayan police. They assisted me at that time.
The next day they went to Shell to request the CCTV footage. But they didn’t give it right away—they said we needed permission from the Shell owner. The CCTV was given on April 24. But as early as April 21 or 22, the Meycauayan Police coordinated with us.
John Bird’s mother and the rest of his family joined to follow the police coordination. What did the coordination involve? It seemed they had records of contact between April 18–19 with Pampanga and Camp Bagong Diwa police officers. Yes, police officers from those places. We went there but weren’t allowed inside. Then around late April, the police followed up on the CCTV from the route he took.
Wait—before we continue. I want to clarify something: aside from being a board agent in online cockfighting, for which company was he working? Online sabong? WPC? Yes, WPC. But just a gold agent. Board agent? Yes. Gold. Gold level.
What’s the difference between a gold agent and others? Gold agents rank lower than master agents. Okay. And is this connected to drugs? No. He was never involved in drugs. We never were. I promise. He has no drug-related record anywhere.
Then between April 21 and 24, the CCTV was finally released. The Meycauayan police helped me process everything. Then we stopped the CCTV follow-up. Later, I was able to track down someone who received money from John Ver Francisco. I found him.

“Where did you find him?”
“On Facebook. I messaged him, then the Meycauayan police met with him to ask for a statement about where the money came from. He said it was the Meycauayan police who asked him for the statement. Apparently, someone just asked him to receive the money, and then it was picked up.”
Later, around April, the statements stopped. That’s when I went to the NBI. Many of us went. The NBI took care of us, attended to everything when we approached them.
“Which office did you go to?”
“At first, they said the case might be connected to drugs, so I went to the Task Force on Anti-Illegal Drugs. It turns out some families of abducted individuals were already there. We reviewed CCTV footage and found that the same group abducted all of us.”
“So you weren’t the only one?”
“No. There were others too. The same people abducted all of us. We even saw the faces in the CCTV.”
The NBI later captured two of the assets involved. I was able to talk to both of them. One of them had my husband’s watch. They admitted in front of me that John Ver Francisco himself gave them that watch on the day he was abducted.
“Why would he give it to them?”
“I don’t know. He said it was given to them the same day he was taken.”
Attorney (NBI Representative):
“Good afternoon, Mr. Chairman and everyone present. I am the Regional Director of the National Capital Region NBI. The case being mentioned is actively under investigation by our Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force. I cannot comment further as it is handled by a different task force. Their investigations are strictly confidential, but after this hearing, I will coordinate with their head to verify all this.”
“Did the task force confirm it was a drug operation?”
“Yes, sir. They said it was indeed a legitimate drug operation, but I cannot speak to the details. I will meet with them to clarify further.”
“If it was legitimate, then why is the person missing until now?”
“They only confirmed that it was a drug operation—perhaps conducted by the PNP. It may have involved the RDEO (Regional Drug Enforcement Office) of Camp Bagong Diwa. But again, we must confirm this through investigation.”
“So you’re saying if it was legitimate, why is the victim missing?”
“That is what we will investigate. But based on video footage, it was a drug operation.”
Additional Testimony from the Victim’s Partner:
“On April 19, John Ver Francisco sent a lot of messages on Messenger, asking about drugs. He seemed to be searching for drugs. But nobody replied to him. That wasn’t his line of work, so no one believed him.”
“What do you think about that?”
“I don’t know. At that time, they already told me he was missing. Yet his account was messaging people, looking for drugs. He even had a video of himself looking for drugs. His eyes were swollen—he looked like he’d been crying and extremely anxious. A lot of people sent me those videos and screenshots, showing he was trying to buy drugs. But I believe someone else was using his account to make it appear he was into drugs while he was already missing.”
“How long have you been together?”
“Two years.”
“In those two years, did you ever see him use drugs?”
“No. Never. I promise. Even though we broke up and got back together, I never saw him use drugs.”
Later, I got word on April 20 that he had been abducted. When we coordinated with the NBI, they took care of us and investigated the assets. They retrieved my partner’s watch, which is now under NBI custody.
“Where are those two assets now?”
“They’re in jail, according to the NBI. But not because of the abduction case—because of drug-related charges. They did admit that they were involved in the abduction, along with people from RDEO of Camp Bagong Diwa.”
“Isn’t it concerning that names like NBI and RDEO are being used, possibly to mislead investigations?”
“Yes, it is. But if we can confirm that it was a legitimate technical operation, maybe it really was an RDEO case. That’s why this must be part of the ongoing investigation.”
Summary from the Witness:
The NBI confirmed the suspects are in custody for drug cases, not abduction. However, they admitted being involved in the entire abduction operation, from the first to the last case. I’ve spoken with the relatives of other victims as well. Some were allegedly abducted due to marijuana involvement. All reports and events have been submitted to the NBI. Now we’re just waiting for updates. My partner’s mother has asked me to disclose everything regarding John Ver Francisco’s case.
