The camp of billionaire congressman Albee Benitez is now in turmoil after he was sued by his wife for allegedly violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act. The latest explosive scandal is detailed in this report from Zandro Ochona.

The marital scandal involving billionaire lawmaker Albee Benitez remains a hot topic and continues to trend on social media.

His wife, Nicki Lopez Benitez, has filed a complaint against the congressman for allegedly violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (VAWC), citing infidelity as the basis of her accusations.

According to copies of the complaint affidavit that have surfaced online, Nicki confirmed Albee’s infidelity after receiving his petition for declaration of nullity of marriage, in which Albee reportedly admitted to having two illegitimate children.

The complaint also mentioned actress Ivana Alawi, who was allegedly Albee’s mistress. However, in defense, the lawmaker—through his lawyer—denied all allegations, saying they were baseless and that Nicki was simply retaliating after Albee initiated annulment proceedings. The camp also questioned the timing and motive behind the complaint, calling them highly suspicious.

They also denied that Albee abused Nicki economically or psychologically. In fact, according to Albee’s camp, since the start of their marriage, their mansions in Forbes Park and Dasmariñas Village have been under Nicki’s name. In addition, high-value assets such as condominium units, luxury vehicles, and publicly listed shares are also reportedly titled in her name.

Albee’s lawyer emphasized that naming specific individuals connected to the case—like Ivana Alawi—only diverts attention from the real issue and seeks to gain public sympathy.

It will be recalled that in a vlog with actress Bea Alonzo in December 2023, Ivana Alawi admitted she was dating someone, though she did not reveal who. Then in early 2024, a viral video surfaced showing Ivana and Albee at an airport in Japan, further fueling rumors about their relationship.

Ivana has often made headlines for her luxurious home and expensive designer bags. On her YouTube channel, she shared that many of her properties—including a house in Bahrain—came from her Moroccan father, Samir Alawi, who passed away in 2018. Despite still having a living mother and three siblings, all assets were placed under Ivana’s name.

Ivana also stated on her channel that she earns millions of pesos per day. However, she claimed she does not spend her influencer income for herself, using it instead to support her family and help her subscribers.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Ivana’s estimated net worth in 2023 was $8 million USD, or over ₱400 million. She is also the owner of the Ivana Skin skincare brand.
