A child with a unique charm, Ryza Mae Dizon first rose to fame as the grand winner of Eat Bulaga’s Little Miss Philippines in 2012, from being just a regular contestant. She went on to become a co-host on Eat Bulaga and even had her own talk show, The Ryzza Mae Show, which aired from 2013 to 2015.
Ryza is not only known for her television appearances—she is also an award-winning child performer. She won Best Child Performer at the Metro Manila Film Festival for the movie My Little Bossings in 2013. Despite her young age, she proved that she had a place in the entertainment industry.
Her story is one of hard work, talent, and love for her family—showing that dreams do come true. Ryza Mae Dizon is an inspiration to young people, proving that nothing is impossible for a child with dreams. In 2012, she joined the auditions for Little Miss Philippines. At first, she was eliminated from the competition, but she was called back for the wildcard round.
Upon her return, she won and was crowned Little Miss Philippines 2012. “So our Little Miss Philippines 2012 is Ryza Mae Dizon, candidate number __. Congratulations, Ryza, from Angeles, Pampanga!” This was the beginning of her showbiz career in the Philippines. She became one of the hosts of Eat Bulaga, a popular noontime show in the country. Ryza also appeared in the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako, where she played a dwarf.
Her life story was also featured on Magpakailanman, a drama anthology series, showcasing her life before becoming a child star. The episode earned high ratings and even outperformed the rival show Maalaala Mo Kaya. In 2013, she appeared in the sitcom Vampire ang Daddy Ko, marking her first major role in a comedy show after her appearance in Tweets for My Sweet in 2012.
On April 1, 2013, during a live segment of Eat Bulaga’s “Juan for All, All for Juan,” Vic Sotto announced that Ryza would be getting her own talk show, The Ryzza Mae Show. It premiered on April 8, 2013. However, in September 2013, there were two incidents where the show was criticized, prompting the MTRCB (Movie and Television Review and Classification Board) to summon Eat Bulaga and The Ryzza Mae Show for a meeting. According to them, some scenes were inappropriate for children. GMA Network and TAPE Inc. acknowledged their shortcomings and promised to work together to ensure Ryza’s safety and rights while appearing on television.
On December 25, 2013, Ryza appeared in the film My Little Bossings alongside Bimby Aquino Yap, Kris Aquino, and Vic Sotto. Despite criticism over the storyline and excessive product placements, the film was a box-office hit at the 2013 MMFF. This was followed by My Big Bossing in December 2014 with Vic Sotto and Marian Rivera.
In 2015, Ryza starred in the comedy-drama series Princess in the Palace alongside Ice Seguerra and Eula Valdez. The show also featured Boots Anson-Roa, Sheryl Cruz, Mark Abaya, and Joey Paras. This marked the first time Ryza played the lead role in a TV series. After the show ended, she continued her career with the show Calle Siete.
Ryza Mae Dizon was born on June 12, 2005, in Angeles City, Pampanga. She grew up in a simple family and entered showbiz at a very young age. Her mother, Rizza Dizon, has always been there to support her in all aspects of her life and career. Ryza is very close to her mom and often shows her love and gratitude for her on social media.
Her father, on the other hand, is not publicly known, and the family has chosen to keep that part of their life private. Despite his absence from the spotlight, it is clear that Ryza has a close-knit family that supports each other strongly.
At just 10 years old, Ryza was able to buy a three-story townhouse in Quezon City using her earnings from Eat Bulaga, endorsements, and films like My Little Bossings. She was proud to share with her fans that she lived in Tandang Sora, Quezon City with her mother and siblings. In 2021, Ryza shared the construction of their dream house in Pampanga, which had a beautiful view of Mount Arayat. She even showed the building process in her vlog, and her family was overjoyed at every step of the way.
On June 12, 2023, Ryza celebrated her 18th birthday at their new home in Pampanga with her family. They even traveled to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort to celebrate the special day. Turning 18 was a major milestone in her life, and her family celebrated it with great joy.
Ryza didn’t just shine in showbiz in 2023. She also graduated from senior high school at Eton International School. Despite being busy with TV shows and films, she never forgot the value of education and became an inspiration to young people—proving that showbiz and academics can go hand-in-hand.
Ryza is very active on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, where she shares moments from her life. She shows her bonding moments with family and friends, as well as special occasions. Her sweet posts for her parents—whom she considers her biggest supporters and inspirations—are a staple on her pages.
She has also started transitioning from being a child star to a more mature teen star. Ryza continues to grow in her career not just as a host but also as an actress in films and television series. Her story is a great example of a young Filipino who is not only known for her talent on TV but also for her love for family, education, and determination to achieve her dreams.
Ryza Mae Dizon is often compared to Aiza Seguerra due to their similar journey in showbiz as young talents from Eat Bulaga. Both began in the segment Little Miss Philippines—Aiza in 1987, and Ryza in 2012. Because of this, it’s only natural to notice similarities in their careers and projects. According to Aiza, she sees her younger self in Ryza.
However, the comparison between Ryza and Aiza isn’t just about how they both started in Eat Bulaga, but also about their experiences, projects, and contributions to the entertainment industry. While the exact amount of Ryza’s wealth is not confirmed, showbiz magazines and reports estimate her net worth to be between ₱10 million and ₱15 million.
This includes earnings from her TV shows, endorsements, movies, and personal investments. It’s also important to note that as she continues to work and save, Ryza may soon venture into business as well—showing great potential for her wealth to grow even more in the future.
