Atasha Muhlach temporarily disappeared from Eat Bulaga due to a scheduling conflict with her new project — the Philippine adaptation of Bad Genius. According to the series director, Direk Derrick Cabredo, Atasha chose to focus on her acting career for now, which is why she stepped away from the noontime show.

What is really happening with Atasha’s future on the noontime show, especially after her ongoing project Bad Genius under Viva TV? Will she still return to Eat Bulaga or not? According to a revelation made by Cristy Fermin in her YouTube program Showbiz Now Na with Romel Chika and Wendell Alvarez, the young star will no longer return to her hosting job on Eat Bulaga, as her contract officially ended on March 13. She was simply granted a two-month extension before she exited, giving the show time to find her possible replacements.
Currently, TBJ Productions is actively searching for new hosts who will appeal to viewers — especially loyal Eat Bulaga fans. Among those being considered are guest hosts Julia Barretto and Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel, who are now in the screening stage.
Cristy Fermin also stated that, according to her trusted source within the Dabarkads camp, it is confirmed that Atasha Muhlach has been removed as a host. This was reportedly confirmed directly by Joey de Leon and Vic Sotto. Her source added that TBJ, led by Joey, had a conversation with Atasha’s father, Aga Muhlach, in the first week of March, where Joey frankly told Aga that they would not be renewing Atasha’s contract with Eat Bulaga.
Aga reportedly accepted the decision without issue, especially since his daughter was already preparing to be busy with her major project under Viva TV — Bad Genius: The Series, where she plays one of the lead roles in the Philippine adaptation of the Thai blockbuster film.
This news deeply saddened many of Atasha’s solid fans, knowing they will no longer see her cheerful and energetic presence on Eat Bulaga.
