KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde have been married for over four years now, but they still don’t have any children. According to circulating online rumors, this is said to be the root cause of the couple’s current conflict. KZ Tandingan reportedly does not want to get pregnant or have a child just yet because it’s not among her top priorities right now.

The Kapamilya singer-songwriter openly admitted that she is not ready to become a mother or a parent at this point in her life.

In a recent episode of SB19’s Time First podcast, KZ directly stated that she wants to focus on her career for now. “I’m the one who’s not ready yet. I think I’m in a season of waiting in my career. Right now, I am happy with where I am. But I’m hoping that more will happen—that I’ll have more songs. I think all singers feel this way.”

However, KZ denied the issue that she and her husband are having marital problems because of this. She emphasized that she and her husband, TJ Monterde, are not in a rush to have a baby, and it’s not an issue in their marriage.

“We are not saying we are closing the doors, but I’m trying to take my time. I also don’t want to force myself to become a mother just because I was pressured.”

KZ added, “I don’t want the time to come when I do get pregnant, and when I already have a child, I don’t want to rob my child of the time they deserve just because I want to keep working. I also don’t want to reach a point where I stop working and then regret that I didn’t fight for my career.”

The award-winning singer further shared, “But I don’t think jumping into it just because of pressure is the right thing to do.”

KZ also expressed her faith in God’s plan for her and TJ. “Even if we say we’re not ready yet—if God gives it to us, I believe it’s meant to happen. Maybe it’s just me who’s not ready yet,” she said.
