Colleen Garcia came to the defense of her husband Billy Crawford after a photo of the singer-host recently went viral. In a short video clip shared on TikTok, Billy and Colleen’s son Amari can be seen eating with their household companions. But what caught the attention of netizens was a glimpse of Billy on camera, where he appeared to have sunken cheeks and dark eye bags.

It was unclear whether this was due to camera angle or lighting, but Billy’s appearance in the clip was far from flattering. A screenshot from that video is now making the rounds on social media. Based on numerous comments, many netizens expressed shock and concern for Billy.

This was compounded by various speculations from people online, with some guessing that Billy might be sick, on a strict diet, dealing with marital issues, depression, or other insensitive assumptions. These reactions clearly reached Colleen Garcia, who responded to the criticisms about her husband through her Instagram stories.

Colleen first posted a glam photo of herself, followed by one where she appeared barefaced and unkempt. In the caption of her less-polished photo, she wrote:
“What you think I look like at home?”

The photo came with several captions. Colleen opened up:
“But actually, sometimes I look like this.”

Though she didn’t mention Billy directly, it was clear that Colleen wanted to emphasize that even celebrities are just like regular people who don’t always look polished when they’re off-camera.

Commenting further on her natural look, she said:
“I look sick, I look pale. I look depressed. My hair’s a frizzy mess—especially in this insane heat. No, it’s not because of unbearable stress, marital problems, or depression. It’s because I’m human. We all are. I break out. I get tired. I am getting older every day.”

She also pointed out the hypocrisy of the public, saying that celebrities are often called “fake” when they’re well-groomed because they supposedly don’t look like that in real life. But when they appear unkempt, people also criticize how they look.

Colleen then posted a peaceful photo of Billy and their son Amari sleeping soundly together with the caption:
“What matters is—we’re happy.”

Colleen also made a statement to ABS-CBN regarding the issue. She explained:
“Actually, I don’t know if you’ve ever seen him before without makeup. But even long before we started dating, he always had dark eye bags and significant hair loss. We’re both kind of worn out—we’ve been working more than usual while trying to juggle many things, especially Billy.”

“He’s out of town now—just overnight. He just got back from France after staying there for a month, and next week he’s heading to the US.”

In a recent post, Colleen also shared a video where Billy and their son Amari can be seen happily swimming and playing in a pool together.
