Joey de Leon Finally Faces the Public — Admits What He Did to Atasha

For days, the public has been abuzz over what allegedly happened to Atasha Muhlach at the hands of her co-hosts on Eat Bulaga, which led her to leave the show completely. Following this, reports also surfaced that Atasha’s father, Aga Muhlach, filed a legal case against those accused of sexually harassing their daughter.

One of those pointed to by Atasha is her co-host, Joey de Leon. According to reports, police immediately apprehended Joey after Atasha issued her formal statement against him. Many were left in disbelief upon learning that behind the scenes of Eat Bulaga, such inappropriate acts were allegedly happening to younger female hosts.

Because of this, the show is now under heavy scrutiny and controversy. After authorities detained Joey de Leon regarding the charges filed against him, his family released a public statement. They insisted that Joey could never do what Atasha is accusing him of. They claim he had no involvement in the allegations made by the former Eat Bulaga host.

Meanwhile, Joey de Leon also appeared before the public — now facing multiple charges if Atasha’s statements are proven true in court. Joey was visibly emotional as he denied all accusations made by Atasha.

“She’s the one who kept giving me signals. I don’t know why she’s turning everything around now. That girl has an innocent-looking face, but she’s hiding a lot of dirt inside. I know you understand what I’m saying, Atasha. May everyone forgive me, but that’s the truth. Now you’re pinning everything on me. I know you’re mad at us because we didn’t give you what you wanted in your contract with Eat Bulaga. But why do this? Why destroy everything?” Joey said firmly.

His statements contradict Atasha’s accusations, but she says she is ready to prove everything in court. Atasha also insists she will not stop until she gets justice for what happened to her.
