Don Zulueta Emotionally Reveals Her Child with Richard Gomez

In 1991, they first worked together in the teleserye Hihintayin Kita sa Langit—the same year Richard Gomez broke up with Sharon Cuneta, with whom he had previously been in a relationship. Due to Richard and Dawn’s strong on-screen chemistry, their romance spilled into real life. Many even claimed that Dawn was the reason for Richard and Sharon’s breakup, as she and Richard officially became a couple that same year.

They were a hit among viewers who adored their pairing. However, in 1993, the two broke up due to Richard’s womanizing. Despite the split, they remained friends and continued to receive joint projects. Even as they aged, their chemistry remained undeniable.

But recently, Dawn Zulueta made a surprising revelation to the public regarding her past relationship with Richard. She admitted that before they broke up, she had become pregnant with his child. In fact, 1993—the same year they parted ways—was also the year she became pregnant.

Though they were still receiving numerous projects at the time, Dawn suddenly flew abroad. Rumors swirled that she was pregnant, but she denied this in a media interview, saying that she needed a break from work to clear her mind after the breakup.

However, according to a trusted source, Dawn privately admitted that she did indeed have a child with Richard. The child was born in 1994 and raised by her family. Dawn returned to the Philippines two years later with the child, who is now 30 years old and a grown man.

Dawn explained that they did not go public with the child’s existence due to the demands of their careers. She didn’t want to ruin either of their public images, especially since they were both beloved by fans. Dawn clarified that Richard had no knowledge of the child because she didn’t want to burden him with the responsibility.
